I am not liking the way Iolo talks to Rhys almost as his child. It is the stuff of soaps to have controlling relationships though. I think better of Iolo however. I can see Hwyel being unhappy with that situation especially since Rhys is giving up his education.

Looks like it I was hoping she would reconsider. She will regret it.

As an American viewer, it's so strange to see characters who contemplate abortion actually go through with it. I assumed she wouldn't. On US soaps, women who rarely get abortions and those that do always suffer for it: becoming barren, going insane or otherwise 'paying' for what they've done.

Britt should be horsewhipped. A sanctimonious hypocrite of the highest order. The way she was looking at Dani in the chapel as if she herself is some paragon of virtue.

On another point, no Gaynor tonight. Very disappointing.

Yes very true- I remember a few years back an episode of Degrassi that couldn't be shown in the US for that very reason. I am dating myself...

The Whites are sanctimonious hypocrites that is their entire reason for being, judging others while denying the impact of their own behavior.

Kevin acted very well tonight, unlike his hideous mother. Nansi is a terrible character played by a terrible actress.

Spoiler

Meic, Sheryl and Anita are livid to see the interview with Debbie in a national magazine.

When she sees their reaction, Debbie tries to justify her actions and offers Sheryl money. This adds insult to injury.

Jim has to explain to Eileen that their marriage is illegal.

They both realise it’s their relationship that’s most important, but Jim is still concerned that their secret is not safe, especially as Mark knows everything.

Dai returns to Bryntirion and he’s within seconds of catching DJ and Anita together.

Dai realises that DJ has company, but will he suspect his wife’s best friend?

Despite Cadno’s hard work, she continues to feel like a stranger at the farm.

She reaches the end of her tether and decides to leave with the boys and move to the village.

And even though he’s angry, Hywel is relieved that Rhys opens up about leaving university.

That's the deal, I'm afraid Kev. You rape people, you go to prison.

I agree. I was quite appalled at how bad Nansi really was. She hasn`t been too bad up to now - but Mondays show shocked me.

sderr....I`d be hard pressed to say who isn`t a hypocrite in Cwm Deri. I`ll never forget the baying lynch mob after Macs as he was leaving. It really infuriated me.

Yeah true, I found a couple of weeks ago Sion's defense of Kevin one of the most unbelievable things I have ever seen on a soap. If anything Sion should identify with Sheryl.

I guess for me the White family especially since Macs left has really centered around their self-righteous and sanctimonious behavior. Maybe because they don't have a major storyline or that major storylines involving them have been stopped midstream. To me they are just going around rather unreflectively judging others all the time. All the other families seem to be written with more depth at the moment and from time to time reflect on their behavior.

I have never seen a family in a soap where all the character's activity is centered on such an unattractive human quality.

I won't spoil it but I have to say I thought that was a very good twist. It was unexpected, even though it was cleverly foreshadowed last night!

Spoiler
In a way it was quite an optimistic ending. The victims got justice, Kevin finally came clean, and despite his awful behaviour over the last few months, he does have a conscience and he did do the right thing in the end. There's something curiously hopeful about that.

With how ruthless Diances niece was in court with Sheryl, it`s no wonder real rape victims are hesitant going to court. If Kevin hadn`t spoken up when he did he could`ve walked free.
Thankfully it was a good outcome. Although I would`ve liked to have seen Debbi squirm on the stand when she was asked about the posters she put up. I`m surprised the police didn`t take it any further.

The only good outcome on a rape storyline, there are a couple others I would like to see get endings.

Rape cases are hard because you are trying to prove that the crime its-self happened, rather than who did the crime. Yeah it can be an ordeal for victims.

Debbie has always been a bad dresser. It would be so funny if someone went back and did a screen capture of all her worst outfits and posted them the PYC facebook page.

Agree with you, sderr. It may be difficult for alleged victims and suspects alike, but the justice system has to do what it has to do.
