rhys ~& sheryl Nooooooooooooo !

I sincerely hope this is not true.

I read the spoilers on Rhys and Sheryl, it seems true. Such lazy writing to have 3 storylines on the same subject. The only May/December romance the viewers ever liked was Dani and Brandon all the rest have been crap.

We should start coming up with a list of other storyline ideas for the writers.

I could literally think of five right now. If I can, why can't they!

Oh I know! If they have recycle old storylines why can't they look to storylines they did 10 years ago or so and try to update them in a fresher way. I don't understand why they have to repeat storylines they did last week.

I`m all for recycling and saving the planet, but PYC recycles plots constantly. It`s getting so predictable and annoying.
They need to ask themselves why they are dropping an episode starting January 2015. It`s because people are turning away in droves, and therefore lots of lost revenue.
PYC is a shadow of its former self, and that`s a huge tragedy. I thought they would have upped their game for their 40th year. Sadly not

I will be the first to apologise if they have some massive things planned for October.

I am not sure they are going to up their game for their 40th anniversary, they keep saying they will but I see no evidence of it. The best storyline they had was Kevin & Sheryl and even that was a recycle of several better storylines on rape. It more as if the storylines are written to justify cuts, by the time 2015 roles around people will be happy with PYC only 4 nights a week.

Probably someone from a YTS scheme if they still have them. I`m showing my age now.

After watching todays episode, i`m wondering is Gemma is pregnant. Who would turn their nose up at bacon and eggs? Not me
And if she is, whose baby could it be? (No)Mark, or someone she met in Europe?

Thanks for posting page 4 sderr. Things look really good. I`m glad that Jinx`s Taid is coming back. I liked him, and thought Jinx treated him quite shabbily on Christmas Day 2 years ago.

A little thing that might be interesting about Iolo

Pretty damning if you ask me. The average ratings for PYC were 70'000 just a couple of years ago, now they're 40'000? That's a drop of 57% in just two years! And 50% of non-Welsh speaking viewers watch the omnibus, so dropping it is S4C cutting off its nose to spite its face. Did it ever occur to S4C that maybe nobody's watching it's prime time slot because its content is deathly dull? Just a thought!

Mind you, is it that surprising PYC's ratings have declined? It's pretty dull and boring nowadays. This week there aren't even proper cliffhangers - Jim cooks Eileen a meal. Gemma invites Dani for a night out. Wow, scuse me while I yearn for the murdering vicar!

Well you know I think PYC is purposely being written in such a way to justify making cuts.

A few nights ago I was trying to think of all the major storylines I liked, the chip shop fire, Mac's rape, Moc and Gethin all of those started in 2011. I think that is the last time the writers and producers had the money and permission to do proper research for a storyline or spend money on a spectacular episode. You can really see the difference- the storylines you mention don't take real research or creativity.

Given the state of the relationship storylines lately a solo storyline for Iolo might be the right thing. Anyone in a relationship ends up either with an elderly person or raped.

What a b*tch Gemma was to Dani in Fridays episode. It seems like Gemma has always been jealous of Dani. And Mark just sat there like a lump on a log. I`m glad she didn`t spill the beans about Dani being pregnant though. It would have been all around Cwm Deri like wildfire knowing Mark.

They don't do all that well with relationships on this soap. All of them are currently disappointing. He did have someone over on Tuesday.

I don't think they have any money to be honest to hire anyone else right now.
