re: last weeks PYC
Can you please solve an argument between me and hubby. I said that Eileen steamed the DNA results open, and then sealed them back up again after reading them and smiling. Hubby said Jim caught her before she looked.
I watched PYC on my PC, and hubby watched 2 weeks worth I put on a ram stick for him to watch on a laptop Friday night.

I saw that scene the way your hubby did. I think Jim caught Eileen before she opened the letter. However that scene was cut in such a way that it was hard to tell.

Just seen that scene with Eileen she hadn't opened them she only just put the kettle on.

And Noooooooooo to the jinx/fion drama whats the betting Angela ends up pregnant and Eileen ends up delivering it or something so they can bond.

Too early for me to guess on Angela getting pregnant. Eileen, Angela and Sioned could bond over how horrible Ed is.

I don't want Jinx/Ffion drama. But lately Ffion is being portrayed as a saint who deceived people about the father of her child to prevent Arwen from being raised by the evil Macs.

That's just not true she lied because Hwyel her ex-husband rejected her. She was an irresponsible alcoholic at the time and her lies hurt a lot of people.

I find it odd how the writers are writing Kevin as if he's done nothing wrong as if the rape never happened and everyone has forgiven him and let him get away with it. It's annoying, and now because Debbie was so greedy she's going to be worse off when in fact Kevin deserves to be punished and yet now he's acting like everyone's friend, most likely help bring down Ed. Not right really. Wish the writers wouldn't write him in such a favourable way, in fact I wish they hadn't written it so he acted so out of character, it makes no sense. As a plot device it was very useful, it broke up Sheryl/garry and helped Sheryl be in the Moc storyline so that concluded and helped Dani be with Garry, but it did nothing to the character of Kevin he's just gone back to before. And Meic standing by him, because it's his son, makes me sick.

You are wrong about Ffion she thought it was Hwyel. Colin thought it was Hwyel, Iolo thought it was Hwyel. Everyone thought it was Hwyel. At the time Ffion was actively trying to get back together with Hwyel. She tricked him into sleeping with her on purpose. Ffion told Gaynor this and Gaynor hit her and had to take her to hospital. That's when she found out she was pregnant. She was going tell Hwyel he was the father and he rejected her. That's when she decided to trick Jinx. It was a calculated move on her part.

What Ffion couldn't remember is sleeping with Macs. I think because it just wasn't memorable since they were so drunk. Also it might have been outside the time where Macs was likely candidate to be the father.

On Kevin I completely agree. I think the rape story was just completely unnecessary. It was so out of character for Kevin in the first place. There have been so many rape stories that it just added nothing. Sheryl drives me crazy too, she is much more concerned with revenge on Dani than justice for her rape. So much so that she has destroyed her credibility forever and can't seek justice even if she wanted too.

Ah I wasn't a viewer at the time of the ffion saga. Makes sense now.

Sheryl didn't want Garry and it seems no one else can have him either. I do dislike how Garry is sort of trying to control Dani's life which is probably why they run into problems next week, I get he's trying to be helpful and protect her as he's quite insecure but Dani isn't Sheryl and can protect herself, so I just hope he doesn't screw it up and she actually talks to him unlike Sheryl.
I get the feeling Angela may end up suicidal. Just the way everyone keeps telling her she's not wanted etc.

Garry can be very controlling. But he was right in the way he dealt with Gethin today.

I feel bad for Angela. I think that the DNA test might be a red herring and Jim is the father. The writers like red herrings. It did show you how easy it was to get a hair sample without anyone knowing for a home dna kit. Which I think is going to be important later.

Just because Jim is infertile l now doesn't mean he was 14 years ago. Ed told Jim the date when he and Angela broke up, not the date he last slept with her. Its not necessarily the same date. Courtney was born 9 months after Jim and Angela first slept together. Angela doesn't seem worried about Jim finding out a secret about Courtney, maybe because there isn't one.

I haven't watched since around the eps Moc left, but started watching all the Clic eps yesteday.

I'm a week behind so don't know if this has been re-visited, but what did people think to Iolo having cocaine in his system? Do we think it was just a random thing and he was spiked or that he's lying?

Lying. Sad for Iolo but looks like he will finally have a storyline.

We don't know yet but I really think Iolo was lying, a couple of weeks ago about the cocaine.

Yeh I think he was as well.

It's possible Iolo's drink was spiked, but people tend not to use Cocaine as a spiking drug, it's usually GHB or Ketamine, he didn't looked shocked either and he said he thought it was out his system, so if you were spiked on a Friday tested on a Tuesday I'd presume there would only be traces is anything so surely you would be shocked? He wasn't, be interesting to see, but it may have just been to show Dai is being two faced and supporting steroid use which is affected Ed and causing domestic abuse but condoning a possible accident.

I think Iolo should have more of a storyline. I was very surprised that he was so calm when he found out the truth about Moc. His hit and run was responsible for Gethin losing his memory and putting Wil in danger. Iolo feeling guilty and taking cocaine to deal with the guilt is pretty normal under the circumstances.

Actually the whole village's attitude lately is very harsh. What does it matter that Gethin can be a nasty person? It doesn't make it alright for Moc to get away with hurting children. No-one has had any consequences for their behavior.
