More screwed up than Kevin or Moc? I don't think so.

I actually don't think the writers are intending to make Gemma crazy. I think they just want a storyline about her jealous of Dani. However, I will say that the effect of having her with Mark which looks creepy and weird, having her disappear for a month and then immediately come back blaming Dani for all her problems makes her look deranged.

The same thing happened with the Eileen when she was arguing with Sioned earlier in the year. I don't think Eileen was supposed to look crazy, but the effect of having her so overreact to Sioned made her look insane. This was especially true when much worse behavior from Sioned didn't cause Eileen to be so depressed. The writers have the balance and the writing for these characters all wrong.

The only things that have made sense so far this year is Meic's reaction to Kevin and this current storyline with Eifion and Cadno. I think that Eifion and Cadno is being written in a way that uses the history of the characters. That's what should be happening in all the writing not just certain storylines.

Don't like Gemma one bit. But I think Kevin was a 100 times more messed up. There is something sad about Gemma's actions she needs help.

Iolo looks pretty sad lately with all his cleaning and anxiety. I doubt its going to all be sunshine and rainbows, I think they are going ahead with the OCD storyline. You know I think Sion has something to do with all Iolo's anxiety problems. He as been acting very Sion like in the last 6 months or so.

I know some don't like Macs, but I think they need to bring the character back for a couple of weeks. Its just not possible for me to forget that the writers actually never resolved any of the storylines he was in. Macs as lord Voldemort might have worked if they had Sion supporting Sioned and being concerned for victims like Sheryl, but he's been forgiving murders and rapists. Once again he'll be making excuses for Gwyneth. Let me tell you I am done with it, its contrived unbelievable and annoying.

i`ve never disliked Sion more than when he turned away from his son when the lynch mob were screaming at Macs as he left the village. Sion did nothing to help him , nor did he try to stop them.. No wonder Huw doesn`t want anything to do with him and his sanctimonious ways. If Aaron, Chester and Catrin were smart - they`d high tail it out of the house as soon as they turn 18.
Sion makes himself out to be a great Father and family man, but he is anything but. He wears his religion like a cloak giving advice whereever he sees fit, while condemning people behind their backs. So on top of everything else Sion White is gutless too.

Agreed. I honestly think Sion must be responsible for much of the anxiety Iolo is having. You only have to look at his track record with his children.

I'm wondering if Iolo's anxiety issues might bring the Gethin being run over story line again?
I think the problem with the soap at the moment is that they have many little story lines but they don't really seem to have a main one:/
Gemma being portrayed as a bit crazy might also dig up the murder of her mother again.
I hope story lines link to the past because they're the best stories, when everything comes together!

I completely agree with you. I also want to know if they are ever going to address the Christmas episode? Is Eifion going to mention that Cadno almost killed Macs? Does Sion know that Macs had a nervous breakdown? If he does I would like to see him justify supporting Gwyneth and refusing to support his son.

I suppose macs could make an appearance if he's going to try and support Iolo if Iolo has a breakdown? Could be interesting as he would want to move back to his house (Where Angela is staying!!). Could that be a possible link?

That makes sense but I don't think Rhys Bidder will come back. If he does it will like Darien just coming back for a storyline. I am very tired of how every storyline involving him has been resolved though. Just having characters declare him evil is really the worst form of writing. They heavily implied things were not back and white with Macs, and then the storylines are resolved as if everything is black and white. Does anyone really think it is believable that it is easier for Sion to forgive someone like Kevin or Gwyneth? Does he believe Macs is worse? Why would people in that village support that? They all seem too, including Britt and Iolo.

I know you don't like Macs, but do honestly like the way he was written off? You don't think it makes all the storylines more boring and contrived? Because for me it has been like drained all the life drained out of certain storylines. Ffion and Jinx are very boring and having Taid return has not helped. I think the reason they are so dull is that the writers are attempting to maintain the Macs is Evil storyline as the source all their problems. So now they have to be written as blandly nice to make that work.

I can say the same thing about Sion. I am not sure what they are trying to do. I think that maybe Sion's forgiveness is supposed to look like a moral position. It actually looks the opposet from they way he is being written.

OK Macs did some horrible things, but honestly the only reason I can find not to resolve the storylines he was in is to make some heavy-handed moral point. That is not why I watch a soap. Also its the wrong character, if the writers want to do that Moc or Gwyneth are better candidates.

Sion White must be the worse dad ever. His kids are all fruitcakes.

Yes all I want is for someone to finally say that to Sion. All his children have mental disorders, its absolutely the truth.

I don't think Sion will take Iolo's OCD well at all. Just wait until he hears that the cause is probably genetic and anxiety disorders run in families. Its going to be like someone punched him in the gut.
