The age difference between Meic and Debbie is quite vast...but I really think it could work. And with Anita finding out about it, then....Team Meic and Debbie all the way!
There was quite a big difference in ages between Sheryl and Moc, but there`s no way that would have worked bwtween Moc and Anita either - even though they`re both as selfish as each other.
That pervy doc friend of Anitas is much better suited to Anita than she was to Meic. Even when Anita and Meic were married, she still treated Meic horribly - even before her affair with Colin.
I`m starting to feel quite sorry for Mark Jones lkately the horrible way Gemma is treating him. He can do so much better.

I can`t believe Ed would just leave Cwm Deri. Is he coming back? What about Y Deri? It`s in his name isn`t it? Not sure if Sioned can do much on the business transaction side without Eds consent.
What a stupid idea having Gwyneth work behind the bar.Even though Sioned was desperate for help - I would`ve closed the bar rather than let Gwyneth anywhere near it. But that`s just me though.

Another stupid idea was to have a pacifist like St Sion of Bethania as speaker at such a solemn event. I would have preferred Megan over him doing it - and I don`t care for Megan too much. I bet Anti Marion would have been much better.

I think some relationships can work where one person is older than the other, but not all of the new relationships. Some more realistic typical pairings should be part of PYC, especially among people in their 20's. Age means a lot then.

The actor who plays Ed had a baby that's why he's gone for a while. I don't miss Ed though. I think pairing him with Sioned is dreadful. Those 2 have no chemistry at all. I think the age difference has something to do with it. Ed is what 10 years older than Sioned? The energy is not there in that relationship, it just isn't.

It's not the May/December romance in and of itself is that most of the pairings are that type. That's just not realistic. Even in a small town there are people of the same age to date.

As for Gethin, given his hit and run, recalling his sexual abuse and what not, his not getting involved with someone new at least makes sense in terms of story. At least somewhat. It makes no sense for Iolo at all.

I agree DJ should have been a love interest for Iolo. He has served no purpose and had no story since his debut.

I have to say I agree with you totally on all of that. I keep thinking what actors would you let go to be able to hire new ones? Anita would top my list.

As far as DJ goes they could do something with him theoretically. He hasn't had a storyline at all, and the viewers don't know anything about his backstory. So its possible that they could do any storyline they wanted with that character. Its just someone would have to want to.

Iolo's storyline is really very good. PYC is rare among soaps in that it actually takes the time to do mental health stories really well. Which is why its such a shame that the other storylines are dragging it down.

PYC's ratings have to be down since the start of the year I can't imagine otherwise. I am not understanding why they are doing nothing to turn things around.

Cadno made me mad yesterday when she tried to guilt trip Eileen into buying Eifions share of the farm by using Anti Marion as a bargaining chip. Witch. She has no shame.

Yeah I really don't like the farm story. It should be someone new buying Eifion's share of the farm. Why do Jim and Eileen want to give up their businesses to run the farm? Well if in fact they do.
Someone needs to do the work on the farm, if that's not Eifion who exactly is that going to be? Cadno already has a full time job with 2 small children. She can't take care of all the stock and look after children who are still basically infants by herself. It was bad enough when it was just Eifion, at least Angela was helping with Marion and the children.

I remember the days not so very long ago when Eileen owned the farm, but to make that work she ran a catering business to earn extra money. Denzil owned the stock and there were 3 farm workers, Cadno, Eifion and Scott. PYC needs more bodies to make some of their storylines work. The farm is one of those.

I hope Dani and Garry don`t split up. I love their relationship, and Dani makes an excellent Mother figure for Gwern. It`s Gwyneths fault!!!

Sion already knows. Britt told him last week. What I can't believe is that Sion hasn't talked to Iolo about it. Doesn't ring true.

I know that Sion knows, but does Iolo know that? As you say he hasn't spoken to Iolo about it. Something is going on with Sion. It has been all year. Macs had that break down over Christmas, Sion said not one word about that either.

Another storyline I hate- Ed is in debt so he runs away and hides leaving Sioned (known for her financial skills) to run the Deri. Makes that character look like such a pathetic coward.

Oh such a sad episode tonight. The final scene made me like Sion for the first time in a year. It took him long enough to catch on. There is definitely something that's gone on in Iolo's past it keeps coming up.

PYC is such an odd soap, no does the sad, depressing social issues this well, but on the other hand they can't write decent couples if their life depended on it.

True, but part of the reason is because the budget only seems to let them mix and match the existing characters rather than add anybody new. Then again, I can't really think of a couple I've actually liked for years. Jinx and Ffion are okay, I guess. But most of the time I wonder why in the world are these two people together? LOL...

St Sion seems to go from one extreme to the other with his parenting skills. He either ignores Iolo, or he`s smothering him. No wonder Iolo doesn`t tell him anything about his life.
It seemed to me last night when he went with Britt to look for Iolo that he remembered he was a Father. i`ll give him credit for that. It took him a while, but he got there in the end thanks to Britt..
