I know.

Maybe we could have a kind of Michael Memorial Day at some point - when we post favourite clips, etc. Something to cheer us up a bit.

Yeh maybe be should do that when we need to - probably after this Monday's episode!!

Looking at the preview, I wonder if Michael feels snookered by Janine setting him up with her blood on his sleeve. He would rather be dead than go to prison and knows he wouldn't see Scarlett ever again if he ends up in jail. I wouldn't put it past him to turn the knife on himself. That would be the closest he would get to winning the battle with Janine. In his mind., if he can't have Scarlett, this would be the only way left for him to try and prevent Janine from having her - by setting her up for his 'murder'. And Janine has form for self-inflicted flesh wounds. And dead husbands.

You could be onto something Jayma, I think that death is more suited to the type of character he is. I always thought he'd die by suicide not murder (apart from wanting to kill Janine which is only due to wanting Scarlett, he knows he's fighting a losing battle and resorting to anything to get his baby girl, he's not that horrible) or maybe my love for MM has clouded my judgement

Michael has to have control and may feel this is the only way he has left to take control of the situation. Janine certainly wouldn't expect it.

Interesting that Michael couldn't actually do the deed on Janine himself when it came down to it, despite cheerfully half-strangling her the other week. He's quite happy for people to die for his cause (Tyler, Janine) provided he doesn't have to do the dirty work himself!

The day has come

I do think that he could end up stabbing himself and making it look like someone else did it. I really don't want to see him being murdered by Alice!

^ Same, I'd love to see Jayma's 'Michael death' happen, would be a great twist and fitting for the character. He's controlling and always one step ahead I'd hate to think he was fooled by MyAlice let alone be murdered by her.

I loved the scene when he broke down with Jean about his mothers suicide and regretting the things he's done.
Relationship with Scarlett (original) she always lights up when she see him which is very cute.
His one liners/facial expression always has me in hysterics

Yeh there have been a handful of times where I've think we've seen the true Michael - breaking down in front of Jean, Ronnie, Kat & Alice, and Eddie.

I'd love it if Michael killed himself (there's a sentence I never thought I'd write!) and somehow made it look like Janine or Alice had done the deed. I just want him to have the last laugh from beyond the grave.

Just watched the Daybreak interview with SJS and Jasmyn Banks, and he says he's in the middle of writing a novel! Awesome stuff, will definitely be keeping my eye out for more info

Was the daybreak interview good?

It wasn't bad, it was pretty similar to the BBC Breakfast interview yesterday. Basically they talked about how Michael has psychopathic tendencies, Alice's darker side, how people approach them in the street, and what they're hoping to do after EE.

Just caught up with the interview on +1. He also said he's got something coming up in the New Year but he can't say what it is yet

Right, I'm off. I may look online before I watch the episode - I might not be able to stop myself. I just hope it's a good episode, worthy of an amazing character.

OK one thing I am confused about reading other threads most people have assumed that Alice is now siding with Janine and trying to set up Michael. This would be understandable if she is shocked that he would be planning to kill. However, Michael had a chance to kill Janine and changed his mind, he couldn't do it because of scarlett. he told Alice that he had given up trying to win against janine and was accepting that he would be out of Scarletts life. Surely Alice would have agreed with this, as he was no longer a threat to Janine. But instead she changed his mind by saying "lets kill janine" This doesn't make any sense to me (Yes I know its a soap and isn't always logical but still)

^I think the whole point of Alice coming back was to get revenge, her and Janine have come up with a plan to send Michael away (they don't want to kill him but just punish him)
Michael used Alice and played her for a fool, the thing that probably got to her the most was what MM said about her dad.

They never showed us the conversation Alice/Janine had (when she was persuading her to go to the Halloween party) this conversation was probably the plan to get MM back. If this was Oaks we would probably have flashbacks of this.

A novel - interesting. SJS does have a way with words, which is always a good start!

If you haven't already, be sure to check out Dullag's brilliant episode thread for tonight. A worthy tribute to Michael.

It's a brilliant thread for tonight's episode
I've got mixed emotions about tonight. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens...but at the same time I don't want it to be the end
