Well just finished watching it and am in shock but what a fab ep.loved how it was entirely Michael's episode. It hit me right at the end that he is gone.
Oh dear janine shows her true colours..how many husbands has she killed now? Brilliantly acted by all. RIP Michael moon. Group hugs |

I burst into tears the moment Michael tried to open the locked door to get Scarlett, you could really sense his panic and realisation that it was all over for him, and I'm still crying now.
When a character you love dies, you cry so much because it's like a family member has passed away and you're grieving. It's the same reason we cried when Jack Dawson from Titanic died, or Mufasa from the Lion King, or Darth Vader in Star Wars. Michael was such a unique character and I don't think we'll have anyone else like him on EastEnders again. I would like to thank EastEnders and Steve John Shepherd for making him such a unique force of nature. We'll miss him. |

I felt sorry for him, it's not like Janine was a saint in all of this, if she hadn't taken Scarlett away from him none of this would have happen.

Two people Michael ever loved was his mother and Scarlett, both were taken away from him. All he wanted was to be a father to her, Janine going on about how Michael would tell Scarlett about her mums death but how will she tell Scarlett that she caused her dads death, and drove him to the person he was at the end. Scarlett loved Michael and Janine put an end to there lovely father/daughter relationship.

![]() ![]() Had a feeling his death might be like that, going to miss him sooo much, I would have prefered a suicide after he was crying for Scarlett think it would have been perfect as he knew his time was up. I still can't believe he's gone, hated seeing him all worried and scared it just broke my heart especially when he cried for Scarlett. I don't agree with Janine, Michael loved Scarlett and it was out of desparation he resorted to killing Janine, he just wanted to be with his daughter and she made it impossible. Both of them should have thought about Scarlett and not used her in their games. It saddens me, he was fooled by Alice, as we know MM got two stab wounds now, surely both of them need to be explained Alice will know she stabbed him once on his side or is she just going to confess and take the blame. Janine will probably mess with her head so she can take the blame, Alice is easily played. SJS is bloody amazing, wish him luck with all his future projects. Charlie was great as well and so was Jasmyne. |

Honestly, I didn't like it
Then again, maybe it's because I didn't want him to die?

I'm glad he got a memorable exit but didn't like it that he was killed. I love Janine and I hate it that she killed him (yh she pushed Barry but she never cared for him or had any connection to him) I believe at one point Janine loved Michael and he is Scarletts dad.
I think most of us on here would have prefered suicide. |

Then again, maybe it's because I didn't want him to die? However the last 3-4 mins suddenly felt incredibly rushed and perhaps a little poorly directed. I think if the episode had been an hour long, it would have served the end result better. I bet SJS had to go and lie down in a dark room after all that! Very sad ending for Michael. |

I would have preferred if Janine died and Michael had the chance of normality with Scarlett

Will they mention Tyler, Anthony or Eddie I wonder seeing as they won't be back for his funeral. he did make up with his brothers in the end after all.

Thanks for the interview link. Interesting someone commented that SJS might be the new Master in Dr Who in relation to his remark about being involved in something in the New Year that he can't talk about. I would love it if that turned out to be true. I have to say with that beard he certainly reminds me of one of the old Masters!
![]() Joanne the other family members don't return for the funeral as far as we know. Eddie disowned him so that will be his excuse. And didn't Tyler and Anthony go to work on cruise ships so no doubt they'll be at sea. Only Kat, Alfie and Janine were shown to turn up. No doubt Janine will be there to dance on his grave! I think I'm most disappointed because I didn't want Janine to be the one to give the killer blow, although even if she told the truth, it would be self-defence. Michael started the violence by genuinely trying to strangle Janine and was going for the knife at the same time as her. She really did win in the end although both played their part in the destruction if their relationship. |
