Yeah he was never a big guy but looks thinner. Looks like he is sticking to theatre.

Just read it myself, sounds like he was very close to dying.

Oh my God, that's really frightening!! Poor Steve. It must have been terrifying for him and his wife and his poor kids, who are all so young and who witnessed what had happened! Thank God he's OK now and that he's recovered well.
Thanks for the link Emma.

I noticed he said something about nothing in his family history to explain it, but I don't think he knows much about his dads medical history as he disappeared when Steve was a baby.

God what a scary series of affairs!
It's your worst nightmare; your children finding you convulsing on the floor. Hopefully he's feeling a bit better now and has a bit more meat on his bones

Thanks for that
It's nice to hear he loved played him so much, it's just a shame he can never come back.
The show is great at the moment but I do still miss him

Ooh, thanks for posting! Great interview, and SJS looking handsome as always in those pics. It's very interesting to get his insights on his feelings about Michael's exit storyline. I can't believe it's a few weeks short of a whole year now since Michael's exit on EE aired. Time flies!

Hi everyone!

Thanks for the interview links, Emma and Sez. What a horrible experience for him and his family. So glad he pulled through!

Some not very nice comments underneath the DS SJS article - frankly, I find it rather rude that there is an assumption that theatre work is beneath TV work. It was his choice to leave EE, he wasn't axed for poor performance and he's obviously enjoying treading the boards again. I didn't see anyone criticising Martin Freeman or Richard Armitage for their recent theatre stints - I hardly think either of them are desperate for work either.

EE hasn't been the same for me since Michael was killed. David Wicks held my interest, but I've not regularly tuned in since he left too. I still have July, August and September's episodes on my Sky Planner! It's clearly gaining popularity again, but I just can't enjoy it like I used to.

Hi Jayma Yeah, that's a shame that people are saying that about theatre work with regards to SJS. I think if you're a talented actor (like SJS obviously is), then why not take part in theatre work, if you enjoy it and if it's your forte? I would love to do theatre work if I were an actor.

Yeh it does. Can't believe how much the show has changed since then.
So true, it's been almost a year, but in terms of how much the show has changed, it may as well be 5. I don't think the Carters had arrived yet at that stage (well apart from Shirl of course who was on hiatus this time last year, leading many to wonder whether Karl had done away with her or not). I actually prefer it to this time last year, I'm a big fan of the Carters!

Hi everyone.

Jayma, sorry to hear that you're not liking the show very much. Personally I'm loving it, but I love the Carters so...!

I think DTC has done an amazing job this year. When people talk of the bad times, many do say that Michael was the only good thing and he was holding the show together, so that's something

I think the standard has got better but i find myself missing episodes more these days. The wedding week was good but it dragged on for to many episodes.
