They did a new series of inspector Morse with Morse as a young constable and the sergeant, Sergeant Jakes looked a bit like Michael Moon. Edit - I just discovered he's acted by Jack Laskey, but he does remind me of Michael Moon for some reason.

He was really ill I think - blood clot or something like that - not sure how long ago though. I did see him in a play at the Park Theatre just after he left Eastenders. It was with James Bolam. Just a two man play - called Bomber's Moon. It was excellent. I was sitting so close to him, I could have reached out and touched him.

Mrs SJS is in Case 2 of New Blood (on iplayer now but starting on BBC1 this Thursday at 9pm). It's 2 eps.
