It's frustrating because the battle of wits between Michael and Janine could have been a fantastic storyline. Instead, we had months and months of repetitive scenes with them scabbling over Scarlett and then a few weeks ago it's like someone suddenly remembered SJS was leaving and so hit the fast forward button on the storyline. They knew he was leaving 6 months ago so I just don't understand it. It all could have been plotted and paced so much better.

Wow, a rare TV appearance! Thanks for the heads up.
Totally agree, I was expecting top quality stuff twixt the two! Still, this is an appreciation thread, so I will just add.. I think SJS is a fine actor. He was also complimentary in a recent interview where he praised his immediate cast members, as he'd never worked 'soap hours' before.

Okay spoilers pics lead me to think when Alice comes back she isn't on Michael's side anymore? She wouldn't agree to still be in on the plan after that so I think she is on Janine's side now. But to be honest I have no idea.

I do agree that hopefully it won't be worse than Jack's exit but then Jack left alive and can likely come back. Michael can't so not really much comfort for me.

The way they've toyed around with Janine/Michaels storyline is so annoying, and disrespectful to the talent on hand. I think the final showdown WILL be gr8, but the road to get there has been somewhat tiresome. They keep picking up the storyline then dropping it. Its been too 'bitty', it's a shame Jasmyn is leaving too, I quite liked her character, never so here as 'wet' like some do, just a very positive person.
Eastenders used ti be good at building up explosive exits but i agree this is very slow. They could've done more between all the characters.I don't know if maybe different EP or writers have affected the story.

At least we get an interview on the last day!

Hopefully we'll get a trailer, I mean EE did one for Ronnie's return, and surely Michael's death is much more important than that

Thanks for the link....we saw dead Michael I'm in shock From the trailer, it looks like its definitely Alice who kills him. We saw blood as well didn't we? I assume he doesn't kill himself then.

Also, wasn't he crying at the beginning of the trailer?

Wow! SJS was incredible in that last scene
I loved his little look to Kat in The Vic too. She knows something's not right
The trailer looks brilliant and very dramatic. I DON'T WANT HIM TO GO I think there will be tears from me next week.
No EE for me until Wednesday now

Michael was amazing tonight especially the last scene. So typical michael..he thinks he is the best and his way is the best. Quite scary really how he reacts. he doesn't like not having control.

He puts so much into playing Michael in every scene.

When you watch scenes like the closing one tonight you can understand why he quit. He must've been exhausted after doing scenes like that.

Is anyone else sad that Michael and Janine have ended this way? I adored them as a couple. I thought they were so alike, and had great chemistry. When did they start despising each other? I can't even remember.
