Voadfone Live! Browsing - now free
Apparently, browsing Vodafone's Live! service is now free via 3G and GPRS, all you pay for is any content - such as ring tones - that you download. Non Voadfone Live! pages are still charged at the normal rate though.
Full info: http://www.vodafone.co.uk/cgi-bin/CO...+live+browsing I know that 3G browsing has been free since launch, but didn't know GPRS was as well. |

Sorry have just read T&C: Quote:
You are not charged for accessing Vodafone live! pages within the UK (excluding Isle of Man and the Channel Islands) using 3G and GPRS (with the exception of Chat, Messenger and Vodafone Mail pages where your normal price plan applies

Now that is good. I used to have a bill for a couple of quid each month when on Voda just for looking around live.
It's one of the things I liked about 3's walled garden - I knew I'd be charged nothing no matter how much I browsed. How long before O2, Orange & T-Mobile respond making their Portals 100% free? |

I believe it is permanent, they mentioned the new pricing at their 3G launch event as a permanent feature of their 3G offering, what they didn't say, or at leat I didn't pick up on, was that it would extend to GPRS as well.
