Lorna Simpson Last Night
I'm confused, and obviously taste is specific to each person, but I'm confused as to how low people have rated Lorna's performance last night. I think she was really good, although a little bit flat at the start. After Sam, vocally, I think she was the strongest and I'm curious to know other people's thoughts on her overall?
I always like an act that goes out before Week 5 so she has no chance haha, but just thoughts on her overall. |

Thought she was really good.
Little Shakey at the start but overall there were plenty worse than her. Hope she isn't bottom two |

Based on last night performance she deserves to be safe imo.

I agree after Sam she is the second best vocal-wise. I fear she may be in the sing-off with Shelly, not because of her vocals but because she is practically (using Simon Cowell's expression) invisible. Nicole saying on Saturday that she didn't remember her in the auditions said it all. Lorna needs to put herself out there and come out of the darkness into the light. Words which she expressed herself on the VT.

I thought she did well enough and deserve not to be in the bottom 2 based on what I have seen

Her voice is good, but her performance, even with the risque motif, did not make me feel anything: no cringe, no wow, just "what?"

I thought she was great. I really enjoyed her performance. It annoys me when the judges say she's "invisible" ...there's always an act every year who is "invisible"

I thought she was very good. However I do think its going to be hard for her to get votes, considering she has barely had any airtime and perharps the song isnt the most well known of Whitneys. She should be safe this week though.

I think I like her most because she tackled a difficult Whitney song, but because it was upbeat. I think Sam Bailey is going to be a ballad singer and ballads are so much easier to sing well. Upbeat songs can be so hard.
I hope she's safe for a few more weeks at least. |

Lorna was really good - she just isn't that memorable unfortunately.
