Seems strange to me that with all the choice Tees must have she very rarely wears something I actually like. Last night's red dress was ok but this rubbery black one is horrendous. WHY??

At least she has dressed up, as much as I love Claudia, she is dressed for a cold day in the office

I gave up expecting Tess to wear something nice ages ago. That way it's a nice surprise on the odd occasion that she does.

It's a tricky task to master, have a thousand pound budget for a frock, and choose (or have chosen for you) something hideous

It's not Tess's fault for choosing the black leathery dress, it's the stylist's!

I agree with you on last night's red dress - it could have looked better without the gold collar instead.

Oh No it isn't. Let's nail this one for the last time. Tess has given many interviews in which she says she makes a point of personally picking all her outfits for SCD. She is clinging to the past - blonde bimbo night-out look is what she thinks suits her.

She could be absolutely spectacular.

But it made her look like "Mrs Tin Man."

Tess looked just fine imo, people on here are obsessed with slagging her off.

Err.
No one minds you liking her, that'll be fine by most of us. But she does choose some pretty abysmal outfits on occasions. There's no denying that.

I've already started a thread praising her performance on Saturday night, but it doesn't make me blind to her frequent choice of peculiar outfits.

I thought it was stiff satin, sewn badly. She does veer from nice to nasty in the outfit stakes.

Totally agree. Tess tends to go for high necks that make her top half shelf-like. And somebody should tell her bodycon isn't really the thing any more, and she can finally breathe out. Such a shame, as she has old-school glamour and could rock a more sophisticated look.

Claudia, bless her, peers up at Tess through that, erm, silky fringe and sixties eye gunk like a prefect on ketamine. Why she was wearing a Next skirt suit from 1989 only she knows. Somehow reminds me of Baldrick.

As soon as Claud walked out I thought she looked like she was off to work in an estate agents' office

But that's Claudia, she doesn't see herself as glam. She's quite business-like and straight to the point. Makes a "refreshing change" from all that glitter nonsense.

You mean, someone here actually like the Tess dress with the sellotape strip down the front? Was it an homage to Blue Peter? I preferred Goldie.

I normally think Tess looks horrendous most weeks, but I've been pleasantly surprised this series so far. I think her outfits have been better than in previous years. I love Claudia but I did think last night's outfit was inappropriate for a show like Strictly, but that's just Claudia!

I like Tess - she seems to have more self esteem than Claudia - I dunno who chooses her dresses for the show but it is a little hit n miss - but overall not too bad, on the other hand Claudia never seems to wear any colour at all - all panda eyes - looks up to Tess n reminds me of a girl at school that wants so much to be accepted by the prefect - but never is ....

We might be being unfair to Tess, these dresses may have all started out as art school projects.
