Dermot will probably explain this after the sing off or just before.

What you are forgetting is, what have the producers rigged this week so that they evict whoever they want in line with their pre-planned agenda before we even get to 2-2? If they want to prioritise someone in the bottom 2 and that person is bottom in the votes then the judges magically vote 3-1 to boot out the other one. If they are second bottom it then goes to a "dramatic" (i.e fake) 2-2 with much wailing by Louis or Nicole and then inevitably the chosen evictee gets booted.

Happens every year - Wikipedia Cher Lloyd/Mary Byrne or Katie Waissel for previous fix-gates,,.not a penny of mine goes on voting any more but many people are still stupid enough to pick up the phone

I think it would work best if they reopened the votes after the sing-off for a few minutes, and let the public decide based on the sing off so no judge's vote.

If a judge has both bottom 2 acts and abstain it is a majority decision between the other three.
