Well I am gay and I loathe him, go figure that out!
Thank you for this. I can't stand the annoying git either, and it has nothing to do with sexual orientation either.

When will she ever learn that being mouthy is NOT endearing .
Clever....hardly. Un self aware and charmless...yes.

She comported herself quite well but I shall be amused to see ITT.

Why DID we have to have her? I'm not on about ability or age but personality, wasn't there any other halfway decent and amusing woman around with a bit of manners who might have achieved something and made use of her time? I've never met anybody who could stand her.

JM was insufferable on a programme that used to be on called Project Catwalk ? (can't remember its exact name)

He was a judge, giving 'advice' to aspiring fashion designers.

He was by turns gratuitously nasty and extremely condescending to the contestants. (And nor do I like his own frock designs!)

Ben de Lisi, in a similar role, was, by contrast, charming and supportive.

So that's why I'm not a JM fan. Nowt to do with homophobia.

he was the better in the dance off. thats fine by me.
i also thought vanessa (equally loathed by some on here) was gracious in defeat. and looked fab in that colour. the bam-bam hairdo was a bit odd though.

I think that any self respecting gay would feel the same. As I mentioned on another thread, he is like a grotesque caricature of what the average straight felt that was how gay's behaved.

Because she's BBC?

I thought it was so astonishingly rude of her to be correcting James's grammar in training. She couldn't stand that he was better at something than she was and had to assert herself. Pathetic.

Only reason I suppose. Though again, there are MANY others on that pay roll.

Not nice, not someone you could get on with at all. Just ugh. James gets a lot of rap on here but his behaviour has been quite faultless this year I think, I know I would have been provoked. She didn't show herself as clever, just moronic.

Yup that was me. Maybe it's a regional thing but I've always thought of blokes as being rough and ready sorts, not little and dainty as Julien is. Sorry, it's not homophobia, it's a difference in word usage obviously. So don't throw accusations around.please.
I don't think you need to apologise. I knew exactly what you meant, and it's the way I'd use the word.

Apparently he has put in a lot of practice this week, Vanessa did not. (so I read on here)
THE BEST ONE GOT THROUGH THIS WEEK.. Vanessa was dreadful.

He behaved perfectly in the dance off. I suspect much of the bitching over Julien is homophobic. Shameful.
I really don't think it is, because Strictly has loads of gay people, pros, judges and contestants. Many viewers loved Julian Clary, and he came third.

I think it's just that he has the type or personality that is going to annoy some people. He is a bit OTT, but I don't find him annoying myself and I liked him on ITT.

Perhaps he actually liked her. There's certainly a similarity in their personalities.

Surely her correcting his grammar and doing less hours training than contracted as reported elsewhere would say otherwise. To me he looked quite checked out of the process and just waiting for the go sign.

The first week it was more likely to see someone else having him committed.

(If you wave these red flags at me, I will run at them)

He was supposed to play the snarky role judge like Michael Kors on the US version. He was actually the only reason to watch that show cause the designers were all basic at best. No wonder it was axed when he was gone.

I don't particularly like him on SCD but he was good on Project Catwalk.

Nonsense - just because Julien is gay does not not give him immunity from criticism for his OTT behaviour.

I agree that he was more restrained in this week's dance off (perhaps he's been reading DS) but last week his failure to commiserate with Tony was - Shameful!

He scared my children,he's like a cross between the childcatcher and a giant spider, especially the way he crouches knees bent over poor Janette.

I don't mean to be nitpicking his every action, but did anyone notice how this week he and his partner were all over James & Vanessa after it was announced they'd been eliminated? Total about turn from last week's victory dance after Tony & Aliona were told they were leaving.

It's quite obvious they've been made aware of their behaviour. I wonder how Julien would feel if the other couple in the dance-off does that to him when he loses. Well at least he's been listening to his PR team, he;s toned down a lot since last week.

Vanessa, Julian, Dave, Mark, Patrick and others. They will all be gone before the show is over. No matter in what order. In the meantime you are just showing what hateful persons you are.
