Glad there's so much agreement amongst those who dislike Julien! I'm sure he'll be pleased to be spreading the love. Loving the faux indignation, too. What next - some of my best friends are gay lol
No, because I wouldn't dream of using blatant tokenism. You know nothing about me nor my friends, family and acquaintances and I have no need to tell you anything prove a point. I was indignant because you insulted my use of language and told me I was out of date. You believe what you want to, I really feel no need to justify myself to irritating petty troublemakers

I suspect much of the bitching over Julien is homophobic. Shameful.
Yeah, because we have never seen any other gay men on Strictly... -rolls eyes-

I find him really annoying but agree he deserved to be saved instead of Vanessa.

It is time for Dave to go, he is in the way of better dancers who are improving and work much harder than he does.

Dave needs Terry like Hercules needs hernias. (*This is not the name of another Greek hero)

I absolutely love Julian. He's so happy, looks delighted to be dancing - and he's not bad at all as it happens. I'd rather watch him than that ridiculous hairy biker chappie or actorrrr Mark.

Wait, I thought Hernias was Hercules' sister?

I have been told several times that I'm like one of the 'Erotes' but without the wings, I'm not sure if that's a compliment or not but I've never been likened to Hercules before, that's probably Dave's department, but perhaps not Juliens.

Careful Tez, no anti-Julien comments, you maybe accused of being homophobic!

It wasn't meant to be anti Julian, I have quite taken to him since he calmed down a bit.

He behaved perfectly in the dance off. I suspect much of the bitching over Julien is homophobic. Shameful.
No it's not - I loved Julian Clary - I liked Russell Grant but Julien is annoying. The fact that the former two gentlemen were well liked enough to avoid the final two/dance-off for a good few weeks into their tenure on the show whilst Julien has been there every week so far would seem to suggest that I am not unique in this opinion and ergo it's not because he is gay or even camp (Messers Clary and Russell would not deny for a second that they are both pretty camp) that he is disliked it's because he's him.

It's daft that the homophobia label is being chucked about because people don't like Julien. It's because he's screechy and OTT, not because he's gay.

I think it was right that he was saved as he performed better than Vanessa in the dance off. Unless he improves dramatically though then I hope he's next out.

No, he's just an annoying little.....I'd be saying exactly the same if he was straight. Aren't we allowed to find people annoying, whether they are gay or not? What has that got to do with it?

However, Vanessa clearly signed her death warrant with her painful pointless little rant as evidenced by the fastest judges decision on record and to be perfectly fair to the designer twonk, he did do about twice as well in the DO. And he does have a bit more ability than her. He'll be toast next week so what does it matter.
I agree totally.

Clever....hardly. Un self aware and charmless...yes.

She comported herself quite well but I shall be amused to see ITT.

Why DID we have to have her? I'm not on about ability or age but personality, wasn't there any other halfway decent and amusing woman around with a bit of manners who might have achieved something and made use of her time? I've never met anybody who could stand her.
She produced a cute waltz and her reaction to it was quite moving so I'm not begrudging her being on the show. However she was the weakest link and Julien did dance better in the DO - so she deserved to go. That said I think Julien is a LOT more annoying.
