Did she I loved Lorna's performance and thought it made her a cert to stay. Shelley was all cabaret / pub singer as usual and awful for it as usual. I thought Lorna was a breath of fresh air after that.

Correct . Especially as Shelley looks like a wrestler and Lorna recently featured in a porn movie . Neither one of them should have made the LIVE shows IMHO.


Same goes for Rough Copy - now they look and sound great but they also have a few skeletons in the cupboard . As soon as they get super popular the media / press will take them down .

I agree. It was good to see a sing off judged as it should be. In early years it was always said that the decision was strictly on the sing off performance. That made it exciting and gave us moments like Ruth knocking out Laura with a belting performance. In recent years the judges have started ignoring the sing off and judging on potential meaning that the sing off itself was pointless. Was there anyone in britain who thought rylan outsang carolynne last year? It makes for better viewing if the contestants really believe they are singing to stay in rather than knowing that the judges have already decided before they start.

Her going, with the possible exception of Miss Dynamix, was pretty predictable and inevitable.

She hasn't connected with the public and she was all over the place pitch wise last night.

Her performance tonight was much better and I think she just about had it over Shelley..

One thing I'll agree with the judges on and this doesn't often happen, is that I thought it was one helluva sing off.

I think, based on the sing off, the right person went. Do I think Lorna, or even Shelley, deserved to be in the bottom two? Not at all

Sam C, Nicholas, Kingsland Rd and the girl group should have been in the bottom two over those two but on the night, Shelley was the better singer

She was awful in the sing off.

The only person who voted honestly was Gary. Louie did his usual thing of voting for personality over voice and Nicole probably voted tactically as Lorna was good enough to become a threat to one or two of her girls later on in the competition.

All of Lorna's performances have sounded pretty ropey, except for judges houses. Her voice is powerful but lacks finesse and she has tuning issues, she also lacks any connection with the song. Hence, she's been pretty forgettable. I'm not a fan of Shelley, but she has demonstrated more vocal ability overall.

I found it a fair decision.

On singing ability, neither of them should have been in the bottom 2. But they are in the over 25 group so they weren't gonna get the votes from the public. Shelley will be gone in a week or two also.

Not just bum notes, but whole phrases out of tune and the last note she sang on Saturday was painful to watch.

Admittedly, she did sing better on Sunday..

But, objectively speaking, she was marginally worse, on Saturday, than Miss Dynamix..difficult, though that was to achieve.

Agree, am convinced this was engineered and the judges were told how to vote. The producers want a family show to get the kids' voting income so someone who'd "done porn" isn't going to fit into the mix.

She just wasn't memorable enough in a good or bad way. Thats how it goes week 1.

She could sing but she was wallpaper. One of those fodder acts that you have forgotten even sang until they do the recap.

Tbh, it doesn't really matter which of them went last night as they're both there to make up the numbers. Whoever survived last night will be gone by week 4 at the very latest.

The reason Lorna went is because now one no remembered her and. She was forgettable has for shelley she has a great personality

Before the sing off I thought Shelley should definitely go, I believed she was a karaoke singer and that Lorna had a lot more potential. In the sing off Shelley really impressed me, her voice was super and she hit all the notes. Lorna did not perform as well in the sing off, she had pitching issues and her voice was shaky at times. It may have been an unfair advantage that Shelley had a day to psych herself up for the performance, but I guess every act has to do that in case they're bottom two.
I would probably have saved Lorna based on potential and suitability for the music industry, but I don't think either act would last many more weeks.

Lorna was the bookies favourite to go this week even before she had to the chance to sing. I can't see Shelley lasting much longer anyway.

Maybe we should forget about the show and rely on the bookies every week for their choices

Plus, neither were good in the sing-off, but they both tried hard. I laughed out loud at the beginning of Shelly's song - it sounded so ridiculous, really no-one sings like that anymore. I had higher hopes for Lorna but she was really not on form and didn't deserve to win. Shame, Lorna could have been one of my faves but she has very poor control.

I was hoping Shelley would go but I don't think Lorna performed well in the sing off - she was out of tune imo.
