No fix issue! Don't start all that again! We all pick OUR OWN save me songs. Just a coincidence they were the same as ours x

Rylan not forgetting all the stick he got last year!

I noticed this too. Act who sang One Night Only Stayed and the act that sang There You'll Be Went home. It really reminded me of lasts years first results show.

That's rubbish John Adeleye didn't get to chose his sing off song in 2010.

Ella said when she was interviewed by Jamie East that she really didn't want to sing If Your Not The One and wanted to sing either Missed or Believe.

I noticed this too and so did Rylan.

Seems like King Rylan started a great trend with that "One Night Only" song slaying.

Do they really 'choose' the save me songs themselves or not? Ella didn't get to what she wanted and neither did John A, IIRC but some years ago didnt Ruth stand up to Simon and basically told him to f*ck off (maybe not literally but the sentiment was there) when he didnt let her sing Purple Rain?

I think it's more of a sign how dull and recycled this glut of singing shows is becoming. There are so many talent shows now and so many contestants singing the same songs. Honestly I wish they would show some imagination and sing some stuff that hasn't been already covered ad nauseum. Hello, there's a big world of music out there. God forbid someone listened and appreciated some different types of music.

Matt Cardle's original save me song was going to be Alanis Morissette's Thank You, which is one of his favourite songs but half way through the series he was given a different song, but I can't remember what that was. So the first song may have been his choice, the second was not. He never had to use it anyway, but he has done it since on his acoustic tour in May this year. For those interested:
