I think Sharon needs to grow up and move on. I cannot believe she is still going on about Simon and Dannii in 2013:yawn:

2007 - Dannii and Simon apparently have an affair, Dannii is rendered rather pointless on screen.

You can see where Sharon is coming from although I don't really condone her constant vitriol.

However,

2010 - Dannii is a mother, sophisticated, stylish, a brilliant mentor and most popular judge.

Just like all the other eras of X Factor over the years, things change and things evolve, and Dannii got it just right in the show's most iconic year.

I can see how it rankled seeing another judge sleeping with the boss.

but that final series Dannii was the only judge doing her job.
Simon and Cheryl were a waste of space Louis was just doing his own thing.
I never understood why all the focus was on Cheryl leaving the show needs Dannii more

I quite liked Dannii on the show, but I think she's quite passive aggressive and would be good at playing the victim.

Not that I have any respect for Sharon. I lost that the first time on the X factor final when she laid into Steve Brookstein on a personal level. I thought that was so unprofessional and uncalled for on a finals night.

Apparently Dannii has said she can't bear to be bullied by Sharon again and would like Simon Cowell to intervene. If I was Dannii I'd just ignore it.

I think it's time for Mrs O to stop going about this now

I like Sharon and Dannii Minogue but they were both strong women and I tend to think Sharon is used to being quite dominant over younger women so Dannii not letting herself be dominated led to a major personality clash. Throw in Dannii's affair with Simon and it was war as far as Sharon was concerned whereas I don't think Sharon would care less about an affair if it was with a slightly weaker woman who didn't make her feel threatened.

Thats why it was so successful that year and they're trying to emulate it, realise it isn't working, and then change it again the following year.

Dannii (and Cheryl for that matter) both developed on the show. They weren't big names before they joined. They were known, but they both only hit the stratosphere after being on X Factor.

As for this thread, its definitely how Dannii got the job which is questionable ethics and makes a laughing stock of her appointment and first year or so as a judge, but it worked out in the long run. It would've been interesting to see what would've happened if they ditched Dannii after series 4 and had series 5-7 with Simon, Cheryl, Louis and Sharon.

Even if it is true, she wouldn't be the first person to sleep with someone to better their career.

I agree. Even Sharon admitted Dannii turned out good on the show in her interview with Perez Hilton!

I agree. She thought Dannii would be just a pretty face. In her book she says she was annoyed over how Dannii had opinions about the production of the show.

Also agree with poster above that Dannii has changed so much. Maybe that annoys sharon as well.

I would be amazed if Mrs O hasn't tried to sleep with Simon. She is just jealous that Dani succeeded where she failed.

I think describing women as "sluts," regardless of how many men they've slept with and for whatever reasons they choose to do so, is an attitude that belongs back in the Ark.

are you talking about that piece in the sun recently?

because that was lifted from sharon's book. the sun newspaper was promoting it, so they decided to lift a different excerpt from it for each day of the week. sharon had no say in which bits they chose - they simply chose the juiciest bits most likely to get a reaction.

they also ran the story about kelly vs lady gaga all over again the next day. all old news, all already done to death by the press anyway, but if it was even touched on briefly in the book then they jumped at it.
