Bring back DEADLOCK!
Sun Tzu.

Rubbish show tonight. No drama, no tension, just boring. It used to give us some classic moments like Jedward surviving, Wagner and Christopher Maloney.

It's posters like you who complain at the judges "copping out" and going to deadlock.

Deadlock has caused so may problems. We don't need it.

I LOVE the flash vote.

So OP. DO NOT BRING BACK DEADLOCK!

I never complained about deadlock.

I have to second that. I always thought the entire vote should be down to the public. There is nothing wrong with keeping the Deadlock, for me, it's part of the excitement of the show.

Now the wider Audience know Flashvote = person has a strong chance of leaving ITV/Producers are hoping for a mass of voting pulling in more money.
IMHO the only way they would revert to Deadlock if the viewing figures for sunday totally dived to panic station numbers.

When Gary leaves, they should just have a panel of 3 (Sharon, Simon, Louis) then they can revert to the classic voting format with no flash votes or deadlock needed.

They had a majority vote at the end and the person with the most votes went, deadlock wouldn't have even been in tonight's show even if it did still exist.

I'd say we don't need either..

I find this staged prevarication by the judges a huge drag..just get on with it.
Sez Dermot, "we're running out of time, I need an answer," well, there'd be plenty of time, if they didn't waste time on introducing the judges and the dreadful group songs.

Perhaps we need 5 judges, the 5th being totally independent and casting a deciding vote.

The thing is that it would have worked perfectly if they had left Sharon to vote last. Then, abstaining would actually be an active vote for a particular outcome instead of a cop out? They have invented a way to stop a judge from copping out so what do they do - they manage to screw it up by allowing that judge to vote first. If they want some tension then you've got to force the judge to decide which they want to keep and make a meal of it. They screwed up tonight by allowing Sharon to vote anything other than last.

Maybe, when a judge refuses to vote then they could bring something like the old "clapometer," into play and let the live audience decide..

Hit the nail on the head! Couldn't agree more! No deadlock should mean more power to the judges whether they like it or not.

i preferr this system tbh. no faffing about.
and there is still tension, because we don't know who the judges will say, but there's tension on sat night too...which echo's back to the days when results were on the saturday, which i preferred.
