Claudia Winkleman is an embarrassment

To all those concerned for my girlfriends well being i assure you she is well aware of any perceived shallowness i may harbour. I regularly berate winkleman in her presence so she doesn't need to come here to find out what i think. Anyway I am sure that any self respecting women who care about their appearance will agree with my thoughts.

People are caught up in the fact that she is a better presenter than Bruce....but who isn't. Bottom line is she just doesn't fit with the show.

ps. i assure you my girlfriend is most definitely not a "wooly glove" but thank you for your attempted wit. However that sounds like something winkleman might consider wearing next week when she does that awful horse riding trotting motion onto the stage.

As someone who 3> Claud and thought she looked fabulous tonight, I'd like to correct the completely inaccurate description of her outfit that the OP provided.

To quote Shopping The Trend... "Check out her black and white tuxedo dress by Jaeger- a rather cool casual dress with drop waist, long sleeves and tuxedo front. "

Pics of the outfit at http://www.shoppingthetrend.com/cele...ts-oct-13.html

The dress costs £197 if you are interested!!!!

Its all very consistent though with Claudia's excursions into rambling, the silly pointless or obvious, or hyperbolic, comments, and the terrible questions. The dress and posture match the vocal. If they ever let her near running the main show, they would lose millions of viewers and Casualty could be delayed most weeks, or the news could be on between Ola and James.

Thread couldn't be more lame if it was written under the TerryM22 moniker. Well, at least a new member is a 'fan'.

OP - we know you don't have a gf.

Telling the forum that you're one of those guys who rants at the TV won't help your case.

LMAO at this thread in general and this comment in particular. Its given me a great product idea though - sensation enhancing gloves or to put it another way woolley gloves remarketed as friction enhancers.

I am puzzled as to why there are so many complaints about Tess and yet people seem oblivious to the fact that she is usually stood beside something resembling Quasimodo in a pillowcase. I noticed she changed it up this week with a splash of colour (white t-shirt) and finished it off with a black cardigan. Absolutely shocking, and that's before you take into account the hair and makeup. It's like some goth chick with bad posture just wondered onto the set.

The dress sense of people on this forum must be something to behold, if Tess is admonished and Winkleman is ignored. If my girlfriend dressed like her in public i would dump her.”

I'll rather have Claudia wearing onesie in the main show than Brucie presenting his 'grumpy' act anytime.

That and the awkward, little girl, pigeon toed stance puts my teeth on edge.

Claudia you are 41 years old - not 5.

Yes because people with alternative views to yourself must be single, i see your logic there.

Oh and i would never rant at the tv thank you very much

I would say she comes over as a likeable person, but I really don't think she does herself any favours with that fringe and far too heavy eye make-up. I sometimes find myself too distracted by those things to concentrate on what she is saying.

As for her not being an embarrassment. Take a look at this and this!

I preferred Claudia on ITT,find her annoying on the main show!!

Her whole act is an embarrassment, from the frumpy clothes to the "helpless little me" to the very unfunny asides and remarks she throws in. It was always more about her than the guests on ITT and I wish they could get her off the main program altogether.

The only bit I agree with is the clothes/make-up. She is the best presenter of the three!

God help the show if that's considered the best presenter ...

Bruce is quite clearly the worst. Tess is devoid of personality. Claudia is a natural!

I used to adore CW and I still really admire the fact that she is donning her own style regardless however I do find the little girl act tiresome and what makes me cross (given that she has her radio show/does the film show) is that she cannot conduct a proper interview - beyond: were you nervous/your little face/I want to lick your face...I can cope with her in short spurts on the results show but beyond that too much for me...as to what she wears/looks like...I could not give a monkeys

I love Claudia & wish that she would take over Tess' role permanently.

Doesn't fit with the show?! I can't think of a better fit - she's smart,quick-witted, funny and 'gets' the show in ways others just don't, as she proved during her years on ITT.

Thankfully, not everyone thinks that all entertainment programmes should be presented by clothes-horse-Barbie-lookalikes who may look good but are interchangeable empty vessels.

Claudia is a one-off, something I celebrate.

I love Claudia and far prefer the way she dresses to some.

Claudia's fantastic. She's wasted in her role on the results show, but even on that she brightens the whole thing up. I wouldn't change a thing about her style of presentation.

Claudia dresses to suit herself and who she is, Tess is just a clothes horse and does a bad job most weeks

Anybody to be on TV in prime time in such a glamorous show would make an effort. Except Winkleman, apparently.

To be completely honest & upfront here I did say to my husband last night that Claudia's dress looked too big for her, but that's Claudia for you she has her own quirky style in all she does and personally she suits the bonkersness of Strictly perfectly. I wouldn't want to see her on Newsnight but she is fine & Dandy on Strictly for me.
