I am puzzled as to why there are so many complaints about Tess and yet people seem oblivious to the fact that she is usually stood beside something resembling Quasimodo in a pillowcase. I noticed she changed it up this week with a splash of colour (white t-shirt) and finished it off with a black cardigan. Absolutely shocking, and that's before you take into account the hair and makeup. It's like some goth chick with bad posture just wondered onto the set.

The dress sense of people on this forum must be something to behold, if Tess is admonished and Winkleman is ignored. If my girlfriend dressed like her in public i would dump her.”

You do not get it,do you, it's all done for effect, Claudia is a very intelligent and clever lady, her self-effacing style is completely planned to perfection, as is her wit and most of all her look, which is part of the act of Claudia Winkleman.......don't you find it sexy.....?

Short enough?

If you want to get into semantics, actually it should have been "cap"."

That's a whole lot of difference.

"Don'tcha love DS?"”

Indeed.

No, "cat" as in .."miow"... and I put speech marks round it.

It wasn't a transposition, the letters are too far away.

May I suggest that it isn't correct etiquette to add stuff to someone's post you quote? That could be confusing
It should be within the body of your own post, it will also have more impact.

But in truth nothing's that important.

I certainly do, she's far more so than Tess.
You don't see much of them but even her legs are better.

She looked like a zombie without her contact lenses in on 'Sunday'. Either that or heavily medicated. Her timing was off she looked like a rabbit in the headlights. Maybe her eye problems are unresolved? Not one of her better performances.

I agree - in fact she is far too good for a dumbed-down show like this. She should have been left in ITT where there is a modicum of intelligent conversation but I suppose the money would not be as good.

I think she left it, because she grew tired of it and wanted to spend more time with her young children.

As a show it started off as just once a week before it became five nights a week. I remember in the first two or three series, she was far more outrageous in her comments, quite acerbic at times and an absolute scream as she didn't take it as seriously. Then in subsequent series it became obvious that she'd been told to turn it down.

Grim wannabe teenage member of the Adams family - shudder.

She's too smart for Strictly. I always thought her purpose was to take the piss but I suspect the producers take the show too seriously for that to continue.

I wish Zoe would present the results show with Tess

I so agree with this. She's amiable enough, but her constant squinting is painful to look at. I used to think it was caused by her overlong fringe or a sensitivity to her lavishly applied eyeliner, but it seems to be sight related. Time for some new contact lenses?

I was watching old videos of Kara & Artem on ITT and OMG the difference between Claudia and Zoe is ridiculous. Claudia asks so many questions in an unusual way, not the screech of Zoe with "ZOMG EVERYONE LOOOOOOOOOOVES YOU. WE JUMP UP AND DOWN IN MY HOUSE"

Claudia is cheeky, charming and intelligent and got way more out of ITT interviews. She's not used to her potential on Strictly unless Bruce is ill. She should be in the Tosspit instead of Tess.

I thought Claudia was really good on ITT. On the main show however, she struggles as an anchor. I think it's something to do with having an audience. She comes across as tense or awkward.

Tess on the other hand seems confident, relaxed, and self assured. She's way better than Brucie in my opinion.

Not sure whether Claudia will relax with experience, but even if she does, she's not a good pairing with Tess. The height and style differential adds to the awkwardness factor.

Sexy? She always looks like she is going to a funeral.

Claudia rocks, she's witty, intelligent, good to look at, in a goofy sort of way, which I love, she has charisma and she's completely bonkers. I love her! Don't tell the wife.

Claudia has more talent as a presenter than almost anyone else out there including Tess. She is a natural who actually talks to the dancers. Unlike Tess who reads comments from a card and actually makes it glaringly obvious that she is doing so.

If anyone goes off message Claudia will behave like a person with brain cells and deal with it. Tess will gulp, laugh nervously, look at her cards for a clue and then say something totally inane and inappropriate.

Why should I care a jot what Claudia wears if she is good at her job ?

Thanks, this is exactly why Claudia is so much better in Claud 9. Also explains why Tess works as the link person between couples, she can read an auto-cue and stick to the script which keeps things on time and running smoothly.

She has eyesight problems which can't be corrected, all power to her elbow to not making a fuss about it

I wouldn't say Claudia struggles as an anchor; she was brilliant at the results show and the few occasions she was on the main show last year and presenting experience is certainly not something she lacks. I do agree that she's been a bit awkward on occasion (I'm starting to wish that she'd say something other than "Your little face..." when she talks to the saved celebrities) this year but I think she's still to hit her stride. Part of Claudia's charm is the good relationship she builds up with the celebrities and pros and I think she's still getting to know this year's batch (as well as the five new pro dancers).

Anyway, I love Claudia. Definitely one of the most intelligent, witty and warm presenters on TV and she can do her hair and makeup however she likes.

The way someone dresses is so personal and I see nothing wrong in being different - I have a daughter who wears some really weird outfits at times, but that does not affect her wonderful sense of fun, nor the way she deals with everyone so generously, so stop looking at the superficial.

It is what is underneath that counts and fortunately we do have/do not like the same personalities, otherwise the world would be a really boring place.

She comes across as being confident about her own style and not desperately trying to compete with Tessa who is taller and leggier. I admire her for that. She looks quirky and stylish in an old fashioned, coquettish way.

Yes I echo your whole post. Claudia is smart and witty; not surprising given who her mother is. Eve has always been incredibly articulate. I don't either care what Claudia wears as she has stage presence and natural timing - that's hard to come by with the usual run of the mill presenters these days.
