At this point it could go either way because though ratings are done it's still higher than whatever Fox's is getting otherwise. Also, they're having a long gap between lives and the 4CC (XF returns on the 30th Oct). So we'll see after the interval whether it goes up or down.

Was it not announced during the live shows last year that it would be returning?

The ratings peaked at 8.5 mil the first day of the 4 chair challenge and stabilised at 6.5 on the last episode. I don't think it's as bad as people are saying it is. Besides, I don't give 2 thoughts about ratings. I just like to enjoy the damn show, and because of that I'm hoping it'll have a series 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 (as long as they keep Ms K-Row )

Total viewers don't count on US TV ratings though.

If you are watching on itv2 in the UK, you probably aren't thick because they're usually behind. I was too excited, so I started watching it online on dailymotion, which you can also do if you wish, despite where you live

rating don't matter to me tbh. that's somebody else headache. I just need a hour/2hours worth of pleasure.
It doesn't take a lot to make me happy, I guess.

I am saying that it's not the total amount of people that watch a show on US TV which determines whether it gets renewed. It's the percentage of adults 18\49 who watch which count.

Keep in mind that the ratings swing by as much as 1.5m between Wed and Thurs. Big Bang Theory is a monster in the Thurs 8 PM slot.

I don't think Fox will drop it just because it's cheap to produce and they don't really have anything to fill the slot. I think it's more likely that Simon will try and move the show to another network. The ratings may be mediocre rather than terrible, but it's being trashed by The Voice and Simon's ego can't handle that. As he said himself, all he cares about is ratings and it's obvious now the X-Factor will never surpass The Voice while it's on Fox.

It's brilliant - in my opinion, far better than our version which is on the decline.

I can't see it getting another season though

I've had a go at evaluating the top 16 acts (SPOILER ALERT) you can VOTE on your favourite here too; http://thechriswhitingshow.wordpress...16-evaluation/

I think Fox have realized that.
This clipped says the show will go live on Tuesday October 29.So im guessing the lives shows will be on Tuesdays and the result shows will be on Wednesdays from now on.. great move I think

Isn't The Voice on Tuesdays? If so it doesn't seem a good idea to go up against it, we know who's going to win.

The USA version should take a year off and relaunch elsewhere

Simon should have put the show on CBS, then he'd be in a better world, with that you could also have Sharon as a judge there while she does her talk show, while your at it he could of got Demi there & perhaps get JC Chasez or a Backstreet Boy, not big in UK but they're like Take That & Westlife over there
