For years this programme came from Television Centre and Saturday nights shows always started with the declaration "Live From London", unless it was from Blackpool or Wembley.

However, now that its moved to Elstree the BBC seem keen not to shout out the location, with week 1 being announced as "Live From The BBC" and weeks 2 & 3 announced as "Live From The Strictly Ballroom".

Why won't they say "Live From Elstree" or "Live From Hertfordshire"? My guess it that you can take the BBC out of London, but you can't take London out of the BBC!

London is a city (obviously), whilst Hertfordshire is a large county.

Would people around the country know where Elstree was? I doubt it.

But they know where London is. And they knew that TVC was in London.

Ring the papers.... the Beeb are obviously being sly and pretending its still coming from London....

Instead its now coming from a huge barn like structure .... somewhere norf of Lundom....!

It's still inside the M25 which is London to most people.

Perhaps they think people would get sniffy if they knew it was near the Big Brother house.

Most Americans think the whole of England is London!
