When will they start throwing Sam Bailey under the bus?
I predict Sam Bailey will start to have very strange song choices, awful outfits and horrible stage settings very soon.
She is clearly the best singer by a large margin but X Factor will be so see through with their riggage to get her out soon. Mark my words, Ill be bumping this up in Week 8 when the judges vote her off

I'm expecting Louis to start pulling out the lines like "cruse ship" and "cheesy" within the next 2 or 3 weeks.

I think they would like to have a legit over in the finals this year. All the editing, the way the category was stacked, etc. suggests it. She's got a much better voice and charisma than Mary Byrne and actually could have a bit of a commercial future.
The tricky thing is that they want to all their get commercial acts to at least 4th as a launching pad and I'm not sure how they would rate her. Tamera and Rough Copy are obviously of interest. Kingsland Road will be if they keep performing as well. Then you've got Nic with his regional base. And who knows, the girls were screaming quite a bit for Sam C despite his vocals; he's got undeniable charisma. Who knows how the votes are coming in, though. |

I think it will start in week 3 or 4, whichever side of Hallowe'en they put the themed show on.

Isn't being "thrown under the bus" more a case of when the entire show (i.e. the producers) want to get ride of an act because they've fallen out of favour? That was my impression anyway.
As for Sam B, she's one of the best singers and one of the most popular at the moment, so I don't see her being outright sabotaged. That would hurt the show. Of course individual judges will start being hard on acts that aren't in their own group later on, but that's normal and to be expected. |

Personally I would take a long bus ride not to have to hear her belting out tired old standards. A yawn fest

She will get away with singing balllads for about 4 weeks and then the Judges will start saying that she needs to try something different, then she will and they will say oh that doesnt really suit you etc and then she will go .Week 8 I am guessing

Best she can hope for is a Crimbo album full of songs for the Mams. |

I hope they don't throw her under the bus, She gives it her absolute all and it would be a travesty if the show starts to mess around with her song choices!
She has an outside chance of winning, If she keeps singing like she has been doing! |

I think Sam is talented but I think she is more suited to west end than being a recording artist which isn't a bad thing either way she will get a lot of exposure from the show.

As soon as she starts topping the vote she can look out. The subtle underhand tactics will then start, she's too cabaret, they don't know where she'll fit in today's music industry, her song choices are wrong. We all know the drill by now, I just can't believe other people still can't see what they are doing.

After the makeover Maybe Syco thinks Sam B is the new Subo in which case they will keep her to there until the final.

I think she'll make the final. They really have made her look very good up until now. Why would they edit it in her favour so strongly if they didn't plan for her to go far?

Sam bailey won't win - X factor loves these rags to riches type storylines, but only up to a point. They won't want her higher than 5th ideally and would be mortified if she won as she just isn't "current" enough. They'll want Tamera, rough copy or kingsland road as the winner - a trendy act that has commercial appeal.
Don't forget that an extra week of judges voting was conjured up to get rid of Tesco Mary at just the right moment. If Sam is doing too well, the rules will be adjusted accordingly. |
