Gabrielle - Say Goodbye (New Single)
Premiered on Radio 2 today. at 2:04 on the Ken Bruce episode.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode..._of_My_Years./ Really great single -her best for a long long time. Painfully sad lyrics. It's the lead single from a new retrospective entitled Always and Forever: 20 Years of Dreaming, with Greatest Hits and selected album tracks, along with 7 new tracks. It's a 34 track album selling for £8.99 - worth it!! |

Just to clarify the new song "Say Goodbye" can be heard at 2 hours 4 minutes and the album is titled Now and Forever.
It's an ok single, something I'm sure that will grow. Don't think it's up to the standard I like Gabrielle for and I don't like the music drowning out her voice, that's annoying. Probably just me though but I prefer listening to music with live instruments as it provides more depth and authenticity, not all the computerised stuff we hear in music these days. Having said that, I'm glad she's returned to producing music and will be buying the album if only to upgrade the Greatest Hits album that I have. |

'Play to Win' is still in my Top 10 albums of all time. Hasn't aged a bit despite being 9 years old.
An absolutely fantastic album IMO that I still listen to at least once a month. I'm glad she's making a return to music, one of the best female singer/songwriters ever to come out of the UK. |

Single cover!
https://scontent-b-cdg.xx.fbcdn.net/...69730383_n.jpg Classic Gabs lyrics in the previews on iTunes. These from 'It Takes Time' "Can't go back to right your wrongs, You can't hold on all life long, Take your time, do whats right, Prove them wrong, give it time, Don't look back, So you can move on, Know right now, though you're not strong, It Takes Time." Perfect. Loving the single too, not sure why it is being released a week after the album though. |
