O/T Free Novel on Amazon - Strictly Murder

I just thought some folks here might be interested in this, found it in the freebies section of the Hot UK Deals website. P.S. I have no connection to the book

Quote:
“The estate agent's details listed two reception rooms, kitchen and bath. What they failed to mention was the dead celebrity in the master bedroom. Personal assistant Verity Long's house hunt is about to turn into a hunt for a killer. It will take some fancy footwork to navigate the bitchy world of dance shows, television studios, and dangerously gorgeous male co-stars. When Verity looks like the killer's next tango partner, she discovers that this dance is ... Strictly Murder.”

Thanks for that. Don't own a Kindle or any other e-reader, but was surprised to find you can download Kindle for PC. Even got three free books automatically.

Downloaded Strictly Murder - will give me something else to read.

Strictly Shimmer is diabolical. It has a very vague plot, reads as if a child had written it, and must have been released in a rush, because it is littered with printing errors. At one point the main characters names actually change for a page or too!

I know that's harsh, but it's truly awful. I bought it because I liked the idea of a novel being set in the world of Strictly. I didn't expect this type of novel to be a work of literary genius obviously, and I knew it had received some bad reviews, but I was still amazed by quite how rubbish it turned out to be.

Can anyone recommend a good dance novel that will appeal to an older adult (like me!). All the ones I have seen are for young people. Needs to be in paperback form

You obviously had far higher expectations of it than I did! It was pretty much what I expected - a bit of light fluff. And it was free so I didn't feel I'd wasted any money on it!

"The Ballroom Class" by Lucy Dillon. Again I have no connection to the author but I have just finished it. A light read but a good story, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

PS not sure what you mean by an older reader but let's say I won't see 50 again!
