Flash Vote Suggestion
I think they should have the flash vote BUT they should not reveal who got the lowest votes by the end of the Saturday show...
...then they go on with the normal process of revealing the bottom two acts on the Sunday show... ...then if there is a DEADLOCK, that's the time they should reveal who got the lowest votes in the Flash Vote. I think it's more suspense cause no one knows who it was. Unlike last week, people already knew that it was Shelley who was to leave if ever a deadlock transpires. OR OR They should have the Flash Vote and then reveal the bottom two acts on the end of the Saturday show the REOPEN the lines again... ....this means that these bottom 2 acts are not yet the final bottom 2. So there's a chance that one of these 2 acts can either stay in the bottom or both of them remains in the bottom or a brand new bottom 2 is revealed. |

There is the problem that the person who had the least votes could end up with more votes by the sunday show and then wouldn't be in the bottom 2, the whole flash vote is just silly

^Exactly my point! What if Shelley's fan weren't really watching live? or they were to watch on the replay of Sunday?

how would it work? If we didn't know who was bottom we could ring all the lines until we found the one cut off...?
the whole flash vote thing sucks anyway |

I am really struggling to see the point in the flash vote at all! Other than money for the show, obviously, but I'm surprised they are happy for that to be so transparent.
It just seems totally pointless and I'd have thought XFactor would have tried to justify it a little more. |

Suggestion 2 will have the B2 acts' fans vote in droves and more likely than not, they will avoid the B2 altogether. |

Surely the whole flashcard thing is unfair to whomever is declared in the bottom 2 on Sunday as the act selected on Saturday has a whole day to prepare for the sing-off!

At the end of the Flash Vote, they should reveal the voting rank of the acts. It doesn't affect the bottom 2 in any way but if there are popular acts towards the bottom, it could sway people to vote for them and then we could see a real shake up of the bottom 2 on Sunday. And as most of the votes are cast in the time between Saturday and Sunday, the order could change completely over the course of 24hrs meaning that it doesn't spoil the surprise either.

Unless it involves contestants flashing their bits, this is doomed.

In line with suggestion 2 you could reveal the bottom two on Saturday then lines reopen to save or eliminate the two of them
But overall it's just silly, why fix something when it's not broke? |

I also think they might be doing themselves out of votes in some cases. Say you know X is in the bottom two as a result of the flash vote, then you can make a judgment call as to whether you think your favourite would be saved if in the bottom two with X. If you feel confident they would be saved, you don't bother to vote.

It should just have been a Week 1 Twist where the top vote getter from each category won immunity from the first Elimination.

My flash vote suggestion:
Drop it. Drop it like a stone. It's pointless. |
