Does anyone have any idea if Youtube are intending on releasing a version that works on roku / NowTV?

It is available on pretty much every other platform, so I don't see why they don't!!

By the title of the following article, it seems like it may be coming. There also seems to be some fairly clunky third party apps that let you watch it through the Roku:

Any chance that Sky will have YouTube on it's On-Demand service?

There's been a long-running dispute between YouTube and Roku which has prevented the app becoming available. Something to do with advertising, I believe.

Not quite what you asked for ..... but here is a guide to sideloading Plex , which may be relevant once you find the YouTube App !

But if you set up Plex on a PC you can access Youtube ( and more ) via Plex on the Now box

There is now (at last) a Youtube app available within Now TV.

Yeah, and it's the slowest thing ever.

For anybody who still prefers the defunct Akufu YouTube app, I've updated it to work again and fully support HD; it's also been renamed to "YouTube (old)" to avoid confusion. Hope the original author doesn't mind my modifications and sharing; the original site has gone down.
