Jacks exit was horrendous!

Sorry I know I am behind, I have just watched it and I am absolutely frigging disgusted!!!

I Jack had become a slight bore but the actor and character have been in the show for six years and deserved better!!!!!

What a pathetic, rushed and thoughtless exit!!!!

Furious

One of the most rushed and pathetic exits I've seen on Eastenders! Characters that haven't been in the show as long as he was got better exits!

I had last nights episode on but was really watching, i didn't think that was his exit! Shocking. His break earlier in the year was better.

What I don't understand is that Michael is leaving in a couple of weeks, did they not think of the two leaving together?

They could have had it that they did Phil over and took off!

Diabolical, wasn't it? Alfie and Roxy got a better "exit" when they went on holiday recently.

Super horrendous. That;ll take some beating but I'm sure the EE team are working hard to beat it!

It was definitely a rushed exit. The acting with Scott Maslen and Sam Womack was great though. They did the best they could with the material they were given.

The whole Miss Teen Vic was diabolical. They should have devoted more time to his exit and Janine/Whitney.

There performance was good but you'd think, considering it was announced months ago that he was going, they would have come up with something better. It all just seemed to happen at the end of the episode, all of a sudden. Very poor. Yes, Jack was a bit dull towards the end but he's been great in some of his bigger storylines. Jack has been pretty prominent in his six years on the Square (well...he is a branning!) so it was a shame they couldn't have given him a better exit.

The whole of last nights show was more of a filler, trying to sort out all the wrong storyline which have been going around. Jack needed to go so off he went. Alfie is on holiday so here is a good excuse to have some stupid event held in the Vic. And Dexter just wakes up as bright as a button!!

Plus when will Cindy be found out about steeling that money! It annoys me how this has all been forgotten.

Cindy's not been forgotten, a few weeks back Lucy and Peter got suspicious after she said she was broke, yet got Denise, Kim and Patrick some relaly fancy presents. Just because it is not dominating every single minute of airtime does not mean it has been forgotten, it could be a slow burner.

I don't get who is going to run the car lot now.

Or who will pay his rent (or indeed live in his flat - is he leaving it for Ronnie? it wasn't clear).

He didn't say goodbye to his family still on the square, or even really explain where he was going, other than taking his passport. As if he'd leave his child like that, doesn't he share custody with Roxy?

What about the boxing gym, and his partnership with Michael?

And as for his packing - it might have been warm enough for a picnic in EE (whereas they were laying sandbags for the storm in Emmerdale!!) but he didn't pack a coat, jumper or even any spare trousers or shoes from what I could see - just a few tops!

His reason for leaving was diabolical - he had to get away from Ronnie. Well, he was 'over' her enough to plan to marry Sharon, and keep on living in the same flat his son died - yet less than a month after her coming back he's leaving his whole world in a five minute decision. He stayed when his son died, stayed when he got divorced, stayed when he got shot, stayed when his brother died, but somehow just being near his ex wife spurred him into running away? Ludicrous.

The writers had months to plan for this. Since Ronnie was leaving too, why not have them leaving together? Or just have him offered some fantastic new job a la Ricky Butcher, or even have him running from the police or something. ANYTHING, just not this!

6 years he was in it... Derek was in it less than two and at least he had a heart attack!!

Boxing Gym - Sold his share to Janine

Amy - Roxy only dumped Amy on him when she wanted

I'm the only one here's that enjoyed his last episode I thought was a good exit,

Everytime they bring up Ronnie's prison sentence they keep saying its 3 years she served but it's actually 2 years

I noticed this too. I think they count the year of the incident so there lives ended on New Years 2011 almost 3 years ago.

To be very honest it was one of the worst exit's ever in EE history for a character which has been in it for many years.

None of it made any sense and seemed rushed in the direction it concluded with.

Lorraine Newman has to be one of the worst producers ever, lazy and unimaginative.

Sucks like boiled rotten eggs sigh!

I've never really taken to the character but after 6 years he deserved a better exit than that and not even a Julia's Theme when somebody like Amira gets one after 9 months!

Ideally they should have had him and Ronnie reconcile their relationship, they try for a baby and she falls pregnant and they both decide to move away from Walford to start a new life.

yeah :/ that was pretty awful! I have been a faithful EE fan all my life but if it doesn't change very soon I'm not wasting my time with it anymore.

Although I didn't like Jack his exit was mean seeing as though he's been in Eastenders the last six years and like it or not, he's played an important character in that time!

I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with Ronnie now, though.

I think the reason they won't have Jack and Ronnie leave together is because their trying to make Ronnie's return more permanant and Samantha Womack said once that Ronnie has plenty of reason to return without Jack

it was inevitable that he would want Ronnie back so for that reason I was glad to see him go. I thought his crying in the car was good. Maslen was mis-used and misplaced, the same as Deane. Both characters put together was the biggest mistake.

Just watched his exit on you tube as I couldn't believe it was as bad as everyone is making out..

But it really was.

It seemed to me he decided to go when Ronnie said she didn't want more children (very waase), hasn't he got enough kids already?
