That's right the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame and it's reputation has been cemented as the tragic joke it has become. Rapper LL Cool J has been nominated for induction.

I swear I almost hope Deep Purple don't get inducted.

Really, LL Cool J
If anyone deserves to be nominated, it is Eminem or Jay Z

LL Cool J has barely done anything amazing in his music worth being even apart of that hall of fame.

There are already rappers inducted. Run DMC were added in 09 and Public Enemy are in it too so are Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five.

Most awards shows on the upper tier are garbage, so I wouldnt worry about it matey. They are just crass advertising shows.

They're not in? That's scandalous!

Motorhead & Roxy Music are two other notable British absences. I'm sure there must be others.

They aren't eligible now anyway.
If any rapper deserves to be nominated in the future, then it's Nas, 2Pac and A Tribe Called Quest.

Also Beastie Boys.

Sorry, I just cannot get used to a rapper getting nominated (never mind inducted) for the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. Rap is not Rock n Roll.

It covers all genres, it's just the name that may mislead people.

Maybe it should be renamed then. Calling it the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame is a travesty.

OutKast and Gorillaz too, but we have to wait 10 years for that.

,..I always thought Rock N Roll was guitar & drum oriented, apparently now you just need a microphone and some turntables.

I know.
But it certainly sounds cooler than Music Hall of Fame...

Iron Maiden & Judas Priest aren't in either.

F*cking joke.

could be worse, you could have those autotuned idiots 1D nominated for it, that would be a travesty.

The hall of fame has always been that way. Look at the earlier inductees. Most of them aren't your typical rock n roll artists. The earlier inductees were quite often soul singers.

LL cool J IS Hip-Hop. he is a musical legend and icon in his genre so he deserves to be there.
LL's contribution is monumental. he changed the game and was a big part of musical history. he has been doing it for nearly 30 years and he's still making music. He has reinvented himself multiple times and withstood many different style changes. His debut album was the first to be released on Def Jam and was produced by Rick Rubin. He's won grammies and had platinum albums throughout his career.and worked with the best.he has battled and beaten every rapper who has ever dissed him on record…he has crossed over to the mainstream back and forth successfully and also broken new ground as both a businessman and as an actor. Every rapper since his arrival has a piece of LL Cool J in them, he paved the way for others, and I know for a fact that the likes of Jay Z and eminem would both say that he was a BIG inspiration to them, and so would every other rapper. In Eminem's video for bezerk he's standing beside rick rubin with a kangol hat on and that huge radio behind them that was a homage to LL cool J.

ATCQ definetly deserve to be there. but i dont agree that 2pac or Nas do, yes 2pac had some great songs but he never made a classic album. Nas made a classic album, but he's not really a game changer because he's like the son of Rakim.
