This will be interesting because they are my favourite two and look forward to watching them both dancing the same style this weekend.

I predict a higher mark for Abbey maybe controversial but I think she could really pull it off!

Can totally understand your supporting her, I like Abbey too - but sadly she is nowhere near Natalie's standard yet.

I still expect Abbey to get better (she needs to learn balance, isolation technique and expression - and how to use her knees properly) but Natalie just has more talent.

I love the fact that Abbey has been paired with Aljaz though. He's perfect for her

The only reason Abbey could possibly score higher than Natalie would be that Nat's choreography was SO difficult that she didn't manage to pull it off entirely.

Natalie's likely to win this one, yes, but I think Abbey has arguably the more atmospheric song, and I think that matters a lot. Of course what the band will make of either song we've yet to see. Quite disappointed by Natalie's song. (Goes off muttering about proper tango music...)

I understand that she isn't technically as good, and the acting and character will suit Natalie but I also think that Abbey looked strong in hold so hopefully she can do a wow/surprise dance!

True about the choreography- I look forward to seeing them both

I can live with Usher - if the band don't murder it.

It's only ballroom tango after all - but if she gets to do Argentine Tango and they choose a track like this I will spit tacks and fling my Comme Il Fauts across the room!

I don't think Abbey has the attack yet, but she is my second favourite after Natalie, but this type of dance is going to be where Natalie is strongest imo.

Natalie is going to be amazing at the dramatic dances - the tango, the paso, the AT, rather than the dreamy dances like VW and foxtrot, whereas I think as time goes by, Abbey will get stronger in those ballroom, her AS is going to be amazing.

I also think Artem is a better choreographer than Aljaz at the moment, i think he's the best choreographer Strictly have so I think the tango is the perfect storm of dramatic dancer with strong choreographer.

I hope both do well - but for sheer drama my money's on Natalie.

Very brave but I believe the Tango is far more suited to the personalities of Natalie and Artem.

Both of these women are my favorites although Abbey is my n1 favorite for the women this season ; I love her partnership with Aljaz as well . I think that Natalie will do better than Abbey because she is a much better dancer than her but either way I am excited to see both of these dances saturday .

Well said; I pretty much agree with everything and especially the BIB
I like those comparisons in terms of what kind of dances will suit either of them the best and I do agree.

BIB agree too!

I must admit though, that it is a bit unfair to Abbey to have the same dance as Natalie the same week, as it is for any other female celebrity to have the same same as her on any given week!

Natalie has Quickstep this week according to ITT

I thought this thread was a bit odd they aren't both doing the Tango.

Just seen ITT & Ian said Abbey is a bit too loose for Tango

It is the BBC Blogs saying they are doing a Tango. The ITT training showed clearly they are doing a QS.

It still says tango on Strictly site.

I think ITT are more likely to be right though but song isn't right for a QS.

They were actually seen doing the quickstep (in training footage).

Then it is not fair to Rachel! She is doing the QS too.

I know. That's why I said the song is wrong for a quickstep. Usher's Yeah doesnt work for a QS so the whole thing on site must be wrong for Natalie.

Perhaps the Usher is going to be their tango song in a later week?

I hope you are right, I absolutely love Abbey in every way......... I do not think she will score higher than Natalie though (depending on Natalie's state of health) according to another thread report..... Unless of course it's courting the sympathy public vote trick!
