That was utter rubbish last night. It made me cringe. From watching the amazing episode of emmerdale and then turning over to watch fatboy and his stupid competition was ridiculous. Almost made me turn off

Worst storyline I've ever seen.

Lorraine Newman is probably sitting at home watching Miss Teen Vic-gate and gripped by the whole thing

Haven't watched the show for a bit but decided to watch last night, mainly to see Jack's exit. This storyline just highlighted the problem the show has and its just a lack of quality all the way through. The writing, storyliners, production, acting, it was all just pathetic. I've seen better stuff at my nieces infant nativity plays.

If anyone questions the ratings they need to be shown this episode and many others over the past 18 months to see that this isn't something that can be remedied quickly. There needs to be a huge clearout from every department and the show decide which direction it wants to take.

Right now its just a complete and utter mess and I personally don't think changing the EP each time is the answer. There are obviously more deeper lying problems and maybe the budget is a big problem but if that is the case surely its better to axe the show rather than continue damaging it as at least it still has some of its reputation left. Any more of this stuff and the show will only ever be remembered as a joke like its become over recent years.

It was unfortunate that a particularly weak episode of EastEnders came straight after an especially strong episode of Emmerdale.

But soaps are fickle - this time next year it *could* so easily be the other way round...

But even a weak episode would have been amazing compared to that!

But with the hyperbole splashed around this site, it becomes a bit hazy as to what constitutes a "weak" episode.

there is scraping the bottom of the barrel but last night was turning that barrel upside down and scraping the underneath. The BBC should hang their heads in shame and instead of paying fat cat bonus' they should hire some decent writing talent.

Don't know what you're all talking about. I was riveted. In fact I've already re-watched the episode seven times just to relive the thrill.

It is but the cringe level was driven even higher with this particular pathetic story line. EE seem to be trying to win awards at the RAZZIES at the moment

Yep, I can imagine her kicking back her shoes and sitting on her husbands lap while holding a glass of fine wine, enjoying Ms Teen crap!

Then switching over to Emmerdale and saying "Oh, that's why I was sacked..."

It was pure drivel. I watched open mouthed in amazement that "this" was actually Eastenders.

It's almost like Lorraine has some sort of agenda. Like she's bitter that her version of the show wasn't accepted.

I mean, really. Peggy's coming back for an episode! Let's shove the rest of it with teen rubbish and Hartmans. Jack's leaving, and people might tune in to see his exciting ending. Let's make most of the episode centre around"Miss Teen Vic." It's like she's sitting there saying, "look guys! This is what I've done. Like it! Please, please like it!"

Sorry, but she really didn't have a clue. I mean, I was actually quite a Jack fan and would have been tempted to watch his send off, if not for reading about this Teen Vic feacle matter. I just simply could not mentally convince myself to suffer through that. Of all the things to join Jack's exit up with, that is without a doubt the worst damn thing they could have done.

I agree this was absolutely cringeworthy. Emmerdale and Corrie must be laughing up their sleeves at the Eastenders drivel.

I'm not surprised with 'miss teen' stuff considering Newman gaves us tunagate, suitcasegate, coldcuts gate, snake on the loose and now bingate, its not a shock that she'd come up with this awful piece of rotting shit.

Lmfao!! Oh and notice how her creation Cindy Jnr was the winner of the shitty contest, as though it was her desperate attempt to make her appear popular rather than a waste of space:yawn:!

All the fanfare she was given when her casting was announced and yet she's done NOTHING of interest since she arrived
