Bit of a stupid question
First off I'm not a coffee (or tea) drinker
I'm making a smoothie that needs cold black coffee and I was just wondering if anyone can tell me how to make it Google gives me iced coffee which isn't what I'm wanting is it as simple as coffee and cold water? wasn't sure if cold water would dissolve the coffee |

Make it hot and let it cool.
If it's just to flavour a smoothie instant will do. 1 or 1.5 tsp per cup of hot water. |

Always make with hot water and cool. If possible (probably more for ice coffee than this use) then don't put ice cubes in to encourage the cooling process...they only dilute it.

If you're using it for a smoothie it might be best to use hot milk rather than hot water

Surely it's quicker to dissolve the coffee in just a little bit of boiling water, and then fill the cup with cold water.
