As the title says. Anybody own both? I have no room on my new 16GB Iphone 5S for much apps and music so should I buy an Ipod touch?

I don't want a 64GB Iphone as I upgrade every year and it will lose too much value.

Pay £22 a year and put all your music into the cloud using iTunes Match. It will save you so much space on your iphone.

My wife went from having no space left on her 32gb to about 12 gb free.

You do need an internet connection (via wifi or 3G) to access the music, but if you know you are going somewhere without (such as abroad) you can download a selection of music to your device.

Configure a Google Music account using a VPN and put all your music in the cloud and pay nothing.

Then use an app like gMusic to access.

I myself have three libraries with Google music of 20k tracks each.

Similar idea without paying for iTunes Match would only be to sync PART of the iTunes library on a desktop to the iPhone at any one time. It defaults to syncing everything - but can be told not to!

Can you transfer music purchased via iTunes into Google Music? (I don't know, I've never used Google music).

The iPod touch 5th gen is great. I have a 64GB touch and a Samsung galaxy s4. It frees up a lot of space on my phone/iPad. I don't see the point of not storing my music locally. Firstly I don't want to waste my data allowance streaming music. Also even if I had unlimited data there are some times when you can't get a signal I.e on the tube, which means you wouldnt be able to listen to my music.

What is the point of having an iphone in one pocket and an iPod touch in the other, just get the 64gb iphone, you will get the extra cash back when you come to sell...

The 32GB only offered £20 or so more over the resell value especially if it's average condition and locked to a network.

if you browse the internet, make calls, texts...chances are your battery will drain meaning you wont be able to listen to music

Can somebody explain how the Google Music thing works on iOS? I'd love to get that on my iPhone! A PM would be fine if that's necessary.

Install Google music on your computer which will automatically upload your music collection, could take some time depending on how much it has to upload. Then you can access Google music through safari on your iPhone. They maybe stand alone apps that can access Google music on iPhone but I've never used them.
