Ive been busy the last few Fridays and was just looking what was on tv tonight and found this. Was gutted it is 3/3 so Ive missed the first two. I take it they have been on the last two Fridays and I missed them, but it could be the last three nights or something. Anyway, as Ive only just spotted it I cant wait to watch it. Anybody who fancies joining me is welcome I shall be watching for the full hour and as Im on my phone wont be posting til after the episode.

The listings also say it's a repeat but it's the first I've heard of it (not being a regular BBC3 viewer)

It is a pain. They keep swapping stuff to different days. Ps.. lol.. I have just realised it is Thursday... long story, but Ive been so busy working on my own at home I lost track of the days.

Saturday at 7:15pm is starting series 6 1/13 The Impossible Astronaut. Mentioned on official website but I hardly go there coz it hardly changes...

Ah, another predictably Tennant era centred special.

I thoroughly enjoyed that. I bet it's BBC getting rid of the none HD stuff before BBC 3 HD starts on ch105 (freeview)

What stood out to me was Derek Jacobi wanting to carry on being the Master but they fired him off!!! Nothing against John Simm, but that was a stupid decision to bin Jacobi IMO.

And seeing Dan Starkey so enthused was a pure pleasure to watch. Wish Id seen the previous 2 episodes, but at least I think I saw the best one.

edit: Im just going to add that Im not a massive Tennant fan, but still enjoyed it thoroughly. The only times I cringed was when they showed the Absorbaloff ( if that is how you spell it.) That was dire. Luckily I think they knew even back then coz it came under others and had little screen time.

ah thanks. I wondered why the listings had a picture of Tennant on them. Well that twice that I've managed to miss the show. Perhaps it's still kicking around on iPlayer.

Sorry for the delay. When BBC3 opened at 7pm they showed the first Sting with Matt Smith saying The Day of the Doctor... then they showed a preview of something that was coming on... Then straight after they showed the second 50th Sting... Then the prog started. I had the volume turned up getting ready for the prog and it was exciting to see them. First time I have really started to get excited about it.

EDIT: I AM SORRY, I ACCIDENTALLY PUT FRIDAY INSTEAD OF THURSDAY FOR FIRST POST. NOW IT IS BACK AT TOP I CANT FIND A WAY TO ALTER FIRST POST. THIS WAS ON YESTERDAY. IF I EVER DO A THREAD LIKE THIS AGAIN I WILL PUT THE DATE INSTEAD.

O M G they did not have the opportunity to Jacobi as a full time master???!!!! And they went with sim!!! Just wow.... Jacobi was 100 times better as the master in his 5 mins than sim was in all his episodes.

Just wow.

Yes. Derek Jacobi said he was disappointed that he could not be The Master and take him further and explore the character more... I was gobsmacked. It really is worth seeing but I cant find a clip of it. Hopefully somebody else can... or upload it for you. Somebody wants their head examining for that. The only way to recompense him and us is for The Ring to turn into John Simm, who then sees Peter Capaldi and says, "Ahhh youve gone older again.... right....." and then regenerate into Derek Jacobi, who smiles and says, "Where were we?" ;-P

I'm sure it was shown quite recently, chances are if you keep an eye on BBC3 or 4 it'll be shown again (and probably again)
