I've ordered a new one from them to replace mine and they said about 2 weeks. They've even given me a free months line rental for the inconvenience!

Yeah, a nice lady from Customer Relations changed it for an S700i, very nice it is, however, a little bulky. My mate also has his changed for a Nokia 6260 - apparently this has just been added to the list.

These are the replacement handsets o2 are offering for ANY K700i customer:

Nokia 6230
Nokia 6820
Motorola v600
Nokia 6610
Nokia 6260
Nokia 7610
Nokia 6610i
Nokia 3220
Samsung e700
o2 x3
Sony Ericsson t630i

S700i are also reporting same problems, but not as widespread - so they aren't as eager to off you this, but they will if you ask.

the problem is not effecting the t630. the problem being discussed is to do with SMS not being recieved on the K700i phone when it is on the o2 network

well i have just got a SE k500i and i've ordered a few ringtones by text (and you know how many txts you get when you order them, its about 10 in a row!) and i have given my new number to all my friends and i havent had any replies as of yet and that was last thursday.

does anyone know wether the k500i has the same problems as the k700i?

thanks...

maybe cos your a mcfly fan?? haha only messing, erm, its "rumoured" that the k500i can suffer the same fate....ring a friend and get them to text you, see if you recieve it.

i rang 2 of my mates on thursday night (the day i sent them my new numba by txt) and asked if they got my txt, they said yes and that they sent a witty remark about me having yet another new phone....

but i didn't get any.

my dad also sent me a txt today saying that he was going to be late picking my daughter up from school today, because he was in traffic n 2 make sure i got her. and i never got that either. :S sumink int right thats for sure.

well when i bught the phone from my local o2 shop, they said i had 14days after puchase to take the phone back if i didn't like it or wasnt happy, and 28days after purchase if it was faulty. so i might take it back and get a different phone. [don't mean to change the subject, but..]

if i take it back, any ideas as to what phone i could get for £100? if possible i want all the latest stuff lke camera with videoing capability, wap or bluetooth, 3d gaming, colour screen (obviously lol) and it HAS to have an mp3 player lol.

thanks

mcflyer~
