Three upgrade hell

three network its the worst network ive been on would never go back, yes they might have fast 3g internet but that is useless when the only way i can make a call is to stand still if im in the car a short 5 mile trip and it will cut out 5+ times !!

Can believe that quite easily fair bit of Durham is rural. I doubt that all the orange masts have been integrated into MBNL either how is EE 3G around there?

Right, upgrade day tomorrow...

I am right in thinking that Three don't offer any decent upgrade deals any more ?

Think I will just upgrade my sim.

Pretty much all you get is a reduction on the upfront cost. If you log in to My Three you will see other phone tariff discounts but they are (for me anyway) restricted to just 1G of data which I would use in about 2 days.

If you really push hard enough you can succeed!
You need to go through to the cancellations team. They will introduce themselves as the options team.
Be persistent telling them you have found a better deal elsewhere. This should prompt them into reasoning why you should stay with 3. When they babble all this tell them that you are looking at best price for the particular handset. Ask them if they have any very good offers at a good price and they may divulge the offers on. If they don't have what you want express how upset you are and say you'd love to stay but as you're on a budget say you can't afford it. Ask them to speak to the manager to get a better deal!
It worked for me. Yesterday I was offered iPhone 6 AYCE everything with no upfront.
I wanted the s6 so persisted on phone today explaining I was upset that I had to move but the price is cheaper and cant afford 3 as it is more expensive. I got the s6 for £39 AYCE everything and no upfront!!

thanks! It felt at first that I wasn't getting anywhere. As they start blagging and blagging on about the benefits of 3 and the handset. Its so surprising how much they can talk non-stop!
I actually did the haggling on the phone but went over to live chat to get a bit of paper evidence should anything go wrong!
I saw in my3 there was an addon available called "2 Discount (Recurring)"
I added it and it now shows on my 3 as an active addon.
I hope this means I have just bagged a £2 monthly discount!!
