I totally agree with everything you say. I always feel like he teaches as little as he can get away with and like Ola, he has signature moves that he always uses whether they suit the celeb or not. Those samba rolls were ugly imo.

I like Sophie as a person but I haven't enjoyed her dancing or their partnership so far. She needs help coming out of her shell and I don't know if he's the right pro for it. I think she might have been better with Pasha.

But you're right about the faking it. I think Brendan teaches them a routine and not the basics of the dance. I don't know if the celeb would be able to describe what a waltz or a cha cha should be. But do any of the pros teach the basics anymore? I know Erin did.”

Think Anton does (when he has a partner who wishes to learn and can move properly) and I would say Iveta.

Blimey. Do we really have forum members who are more accomplished than some of the pros do you reckon?

I'm glad I decided to join now.

I can't see Sophie with Pasha. I think she works fine with Brendan and he seems happier this year so is obviously delighted with her.

I really like Sophie and Pasha is my favourite pro in the current line up, but I don't think they'd have suited each other because she is simply too tall for him.

I think Brendan is the best match in looks, height and age. Also their personalities balance each other out - she's on the reserved side and he's more outgoing - it's working well as a partnership so far.

It was brilliant. She is very elegant & Brendan choreographed it well IMO.

I worried myself for nothing. First dance of the night but still memorable at the end. It was just gorgeous.

good routine, suited sophie, danced well, justified place on the leaderboard, although if i had to choose between the 3 top scores, abby's tango would get my vote

I love Sophie and like her with Brendan, but how fabulous would it have been to see her with Ian Waite?

Why is Ian Waite better for her than Brendan. I think they're the perfect pairing tbh.

He's taller than Brendan, and wonderfully elegant.

I can't imagine Sophie partnered with any of the other pros. Brendan was the best choice for her. Their foxtrot was lovely and I'm sure they will have even better dances in future weeks.
