I read this recently, as it's been reprinted by Fantom Films. Really enjoyable account of Pertwee's early life (basically through his late twenties and World War Two).
Barry Letts used to suggest that Pertwee's anecdotes varied from exaggeration to total fabrication, but damn! the man could really spin a yarn. I'll go so far as to admit this is the only book that ever kept me on the bog until me legs fell asleep.
Anyway, that's my hearty endorsement of a book I wasn't sure I would even like.
