Emmerdale...best week yet EXCEPT for one think
Just watching the Emmerdale omnibus and Kate Oates has most definitely shown herself to be the best woman for the job but this week would have been so much better if one little thing never happened.
Why will Emmerdale not recast Sarah Sugden. That little girl ruined an excellent week with her wooden delivery of lines. Little child or nit she delivers lines so badly and ruins the show. |

She delivers her lines so badly. And the script writers are so bad for giving her lines like "we were playing a game" or "have you got me a present". More wooden than Pinochio.

Can't remember who said it, but an eagle-eyed poster on here said a while back that little Sarah looks like Russell Howard.
I chortle every time I see her now thanks to that.

I don't usually expect a lot of actors that young but I think considering the storylines she's had, she does well. Usually the most traumatic story kids that age have to deal with is 'Mummy and Daddy are splitting up' or 'Mummy/Daddy is very ill' - these are bad enough, obviously, but the little girl who plays Sarah has had to act in storylines about her character's serious illness, men threatening her mother, the potential death of her little brother in a fire, the attempted murder of her granddad, her beloved (almost)step Dad turning into a serial killer. I thought she acted very vulnerable on Monday night - and yet it was clear that she still loved Cameron, and because she's a young child and he was nice to her, that overcame her doubts. I think it's hard enough to get kids to appear confident in front of the camera, never mind handling material like that.

I know the girl who plays Sarah quite well. She is 9 years old, for a 9 year old she's a fab little actress. It's people like Georgia and Rishi you should pick on

I think she's really believable. Too often, soap writers create kids who are really mouthy and rude, whereas most I know behave like Jacob and Sarah. She's meant to be delicate and easily tired, and quite vulnerable.

I find Sarah, Jacob, Kathie and Heath watchable little actors, and Belle has been consistently good. But, then there is Sean who is embarrassing to watch.

Best week yet? You've missed a lot of Emmerdale episodes in the past. Particularly under the leadership of the late great Gavin Blyth
