I was thinking about getting a smoothie maker/blender. I've had a liquidiser for years so decided to start using that again first to make smoothies to see if I would actually make use of a smoothie maker. A few months on, and I've come to the conclusion that a smoothie maker would be a worth while purchase. Can anyone recommend a decent one? I don't really want to spend more than about £50.

I saw the advert for these the other day.

They look good, can't say if they are good though, but I was thinking about getting one.

Just using the link to illustrate them, not to recommend where to buy from btw.

I wouldn't trust it with ice, but this is a cheap version of the JML "Magic Bullet" with a lower power motor:

I bought one of these yesterday for £20.

Obviously I've only used it a couple of times and I haven't had one before to compare it to but it does the job very nicely and the reviews are good.
