Is it just me or is Brendan's choreograph always so excellent? The dances he choreographs always showcase the celebrity but also have that umph element. I really really like his choreography, it's always the dance I remember the most.

Brendan always has amazing choreography & it's a joy to see him with a good partner this year

Brendon is my fav male pro and always has been...but I thought the routine tonight was strictly rather dull, no wow factor at all for me even though it was competent.

Brendan has the advantage of having a partner he knows he can teach to dance, and that is precisely what he is doing.

He isn't wasting time with stupid unnecessary props (cars, canes and goodness knows what else) he just takes Sophie to the floor and does a proper dance. Technically good, and pleasing to the eye. I'm not particular fan of Sophie's, but as a couple, she and Brendan are great.

Yes, this was the one dance of his that I absolutely despised.

I disagree that Brendon has always had good choreography, he lost it for a number of series when he was constantly self-promoting, arguing etc. but he is very competent, quieter and more mature these days and it is definitely showing in his coaching....... But then he has better material to work with this year!

His ballroom choreography is exquisite.

His choreography for Kelly was (samba aside for obvious reasons) amongst the best set of dances anybody has ever come up with for a "contender" on the show I think.

I didn't care for their jive.

His choreography when he has a partner with some skill is excellent, especially in ballroom: no faffing about, proper classic dance content. Two of my all-time favourite Strictly dances are Brendan's - his VW with Lisa Snowden and his AS with Kelly Brook. Ironically, the latter wouldn't cause all the furore over the 'illegal' lift these days, since they relaxed the AS rules to allow three lifts.

OTOH, he was responsible for the abomination mentioned above so much as I love him, he doesn't get a completely free pass

He's doing well. He has a great dance partner. Let's see what happens. Some of the others are doing just as well.

Hoping it would be a good year for Brendan. Sophie is a super dancer & the potential between the two is enormous.

In Ballroom, certainly.

Even though I wasn't a big fan of theirs, Lisa and Kelly both did some very memorable Ballroom dances (their Viennese Waltz's in particular) - thanks largely to Brendan's choreography and teaching. And Sophie's Foxtrot is another to add to his collection of beautifully choreographed Ballroom routines.

I love Brendan's choreography, he always creates dances that include lots of steps that define the dance (last week's samba was a great example) and that showcase his partner. He's really matured in the past few years, probably a lot to do with him being happy and settled in his life away from dancing.

I've always liked Brendan's choreography, even when he has a pro who isn't particularly good.
