I loved it. It was exciting and felt fresh and was executed beautifully. I don't know why Len felt it necessary to penalise the celeb for choreography choices.

It didn't leave a lasting impression... It was a bit of something and nothing. The judges seem to ignore her faults, except Len this week but that was more the choreography, and mark her high regardless.

If you've missed two days of training on the planned dance choreography it helps to be able to revert to a routine/steps you learned years ago even if it is for a different dance style or type.

There was almost as little quick step in that routine as there was cha cha in Dave's

When in hold it was pure quickstep. All the bits that Rachel attempted (rather messily). So it may be that Len thought Natalie was too good to waste on the faffing about too much, and I get his point, but it was nevertheless a good quickstep packed with quickstep basics, but only for about 30 seconds or so I admit.

Natalie's Quickstep

I didn't like it as much as I expected, maybe because I didn't like the costumes.

I suffer from a similar back problem and I can't walk properly for several days, let alone dancing like that. She must have been in agony!

Because that's the way competition works. If I did a medallist competition and my teacher put in steps that were not allowed I would be penalised even if I were unaware of the problem. Quickstep should be mainly in hold. There are other opportunities to do ballroom based dances that are not in hold.

She was great though. On balance I probably preferred Sophie and Abbey but that probably came down to choreography.
