Can you dance the Waltz to a song in 4/4? Apologise is in 4/4 and the Waltz should be in 3/4, should it not?

The song choices for Natalie's and Deborah's dances are good. The one for Rachel is awful in the extreme.

A lot of pretty memorable routines' music getting recycled this week, including Kelly & Brendan's jive and Tom & Camilla's showdance!

We've also seen "It's A Man's Man's Man's World" before for Jade & Ian, and "The Sunny Side of the Street" for Tina & Jared's foxtrot.

Computer speakers aren't working at the moment - do "Dear Darlin'", "Wings" and "PYT" suit those dances?

I think Abbey / Susanna will be top of the board this week and whilst Sophie and Natalie will be ok at their dances they will not excel

"Dear Darlin" is about as suitable for a Foxtrot as "Someone Like You" by Adele, and yet that got used for Kimberley's FT last series. It's probably going to be good but boring to watch.

"Wings" is probably more a Cha Cha Cha, but the underlying beat means that it does work for Salsa as well. I'm thinking this will be a bit of a slower Salsa, but will have lots of armography.

"PYT" - not sure about a Cha Cha Cha to this one. It does work, I'm just not certain on how good a routine you can do to it.

Natalie & Artem actually samba-ing according to ITT. I'm thinking that any time the official website says salsa or samba we should assume they mean the opposite.

So the corrected final list:

about Natalie and Artem's dance. Salsa on the BBC site, Zoe says Samba, but didn't that look like Salsa steps in the ITT training?

I think you can change the timing so that 4/4 can be altered to 3/4

I've always assumed this is what Dave Arch spends his time doing - not just the arranging the music, but changing the timing, and putting in the musical phrasing, so that it fits the choreography, look out for the pauses in the dance and the music together.

I'm pretty sure as well, that once on ITT Craig said that you could change any piece of music to fit any timing.

Natalie and Artem are actually salsaing according to one of Artem's fan groups on twitter. From the sound of their tweet they knew this for a fact.

Does anyone else think that Sophie's cha-cha is going to be disappointing? I just can't see her getting into the character of the dance at all, like her Samba.

It didn't look bad on ITT last night. Someone tweeted Brendan saying that it looked great and he basically implied that the clip was from Tuesday and it has since improved immensely.

On the Nartem thread there is confirmation from Natalie herself that she's doing samba.
