Define "living in the public eye". People like Katie Price live their lives through the media; the majority of actors, don't. She chooses to take the rough with the smooth, and that's her choice, but others don't.
There seems to be this trend now, that it's perfectly acceptable to invade and print personal details about people just b/c they are famous, or are on TV. A lot of famous people do try to keep their personal lives private, and that should be respected. I read an interview with Chris Hemsworth yesterday, and he tries to keep his personal life private, but the media managed to get photos of every room of his new home and uploaded them on to the internet. He found that creepy and intrusive, but by your definition, it's just a drawback to his chosen high paying career.
Obviously actors know that press intrusion is there when they start acting, but that doesn't mean it's right or should be tolerated.
