It's ok, I think we can all be forgiven for thinking she'd had more better partners on Strictly which, sadly for her, she hasn't and it's prb been very frustrating for her not being able to dance more as a team.

They are now both heavily involved in the French version of SCD - Chris is a head judge and I think Jaci is a choreographer

To be fair, however, he did attempt the armography particular to SCD salsa, and did try ONE hip rotation in the routine. In rumba at least he attempted at least two hip rotation, so I feel a little short changed.

you are more than welcome - its a shame that they arent on hand anymore to help to pros with their salsas as I think they would all be alot more recognisable tbh

I remember their third routine with Jason was very Kristina-centric. Roger Rabbit themed, and it was making an awful lot of Kristina as Jessica Rabbit.
I'm sure Mrs Cohen must be seething at those cringemaking antics she made her man do on sat . I know I would be .
She should get down to their training room sharpish and tell her to teach him some dance steps and cut out the antics more suitable to a strip joint.

I think Kristina is personally ambitious, but also mindful that she's not just supporting herself with her work, but also her extended family in Russia. This is admirable but must add to the pressure on her. We all know how unreliable a dancer's earnings are.

Ben's build is never going to allow him to be lithe and agile enough to really attempt a proper salsa is it. He is too muscle bound.
Kristina is just doing what she can to make him come across as the latin dancer he will never be. If she left out all her flashy writhing there wouldn't be much left to watch would there!

Indeed. Its up to the judges whether they actually mark the dancing. they seem to have either joined in the chestwatch exercise, or there's a move on to keep a couple of males in so the last 4 isn't all female.
I suspect the real problem though is that a lot of voters buy into watching and voting for topless male totem poles, and some are successfully distracted by the pro females - who can always do more of the dramatic moves than the female celebs can do. I wouldn't be surprised if Ben and Ashley were beating one or two of the top females.Patrick with a Casualty audience following on teh same evening, may have support too. The girls also have the problem that the top 3 of them are relatively quiet and story light, and the females with most charisma, sex appeal, and the strongest journey story, are all outside the top 3.

I think keep making an issue of a non issue is more of an issue. If the moves were considered too crude for a family show I'm sure the producers would have had words.
Ben's a nice guy, but, a crap dancer. I don't even think there was much dancing, just finger clicking, walking and flinging Kristina around like a rag doll. If that's what impresses the judges this year then there really isn't much point to the dancing element at all! 
I just have a feeling the producers will be like "Gotta keep the housewives happy".

Around 21 seconds of a 1minute 25second routine. Even then it would stretching it a bit to call it Salsa.
It's a light entertainment show and he's eye candy for the ladies (and some men), so the judges are in no hurry to get rid of him.

LOL..SPOT ON!! He did/does very little dancing..but mmm..he looks good!! I hope he doesnt outlast some of the better dancers..of the 3 male contenders..sorry Dave, love ya, but you aint one of them..Ben is the worst dancer.
