I don't believe there's a specific limit, as lifts were prohibited in salsa until series 8 or 9, by which point they were much less pernickety about that sort of thing. (It was also that year that they increased the number of lifts permissible in the American Smooth from 2 to 3, IIRC.)

You have to laugh at posters who accuse Kristina of making the dance 'all about her' and 'showing off' to hide Ben's shortcomings.

I've noticed that Kristina usually manages to showcase herself rather than bring out the best in her partner. It's happened many times before.

I thought 3 but I might be wrong and it was meant to be a salsa

I am so glad I went onto the forum today, because when Ben and Kristina were dancing I commented to my Mum that I felt there was little dancing but a lot of lits, but when the scores came out I was surprised and thought I had missed something. The postings here summarise my thoughts so I feel vindicated.

I was annoyed Rachel was getting criticised by the judges, after a decent attempt at a difficult QS. Then Ben was getting praise for a Salsa with IMO very little dance content.

You guys do Ben a disservice, he can dance. He looked very light on his feet with the QS last night on ITT.

Kristina showcases him to the best of his ability, she did the right thing with the Salsa. I agree he was overmarked but I think he did a really good job.

I'm really looking forward to the QS.

She often gets weak celebs and its a way of distracting attention from her partner - like Ola's catsuits.
Seems to have worked too, judging by the scores.

Me too. That QS looks surprisingly good.

I'm really hoping for a QS with just the proper steps and sequences, all done in hold and with NO silly faffing about before and afterwards.

Then we'll be able to see if he really can dance. Much as I enjoyed his Salsa, and with the relatively positive comments and good scores coming from the judges, I'd like to see a true evaluation of his pure dancing ability this week.

I'm not sure about foreign politics, but this does seem a bit like double Dutch to me.
