He's always had a lot of jealousy against his brother and was always looked down on. But rather than letting us engage in the character and feel sympathy for him, they've made him a mirderer because of this for sensation

It is a bit silly but then again you could say that about an awful lot of the characters and story lines. At least Will did have a background of deep seated jealousy for Dodger and an inferiority complex so there were seeds there.

I'm one of the few that like Will Well like the villain anyway

Dodger will remember and sock it to him. The actor does that Crazy look too well for my liking.

He's always been a bit weird. I remember when he said he wanted to zip Theresa open and climb inside her when trying to get her to go out with him in Hollyoaks Later and then there's all the Silas stuff but I do think it's gone too far now he's a full blown killer - at least Texas' death was an accident of sorts.

I think he's shown tendancies from the beginning. He was literally obsessed with Theresa and it's the only girl he ever gave up on purely because he was under the love cloud of all the attention he got at Uni and was no longer in anyones shadow.

This storyline started the minute he played chess with Silas back in 2011.

I guess his character is more interesting as a villain.

He obviously wasn't getting enough vitamin C or something and it drove him up the wall

It's been building from the start. Sure it's gone a bit overboard, but the jealousy was always there. It mainly came when Will started college though and was trying hard to fit in but Dodger just became friends with Will's roommates like it was nothing. Credit to the actor, though. He's soppy scenes are awful, but when he goes to "crazy Will", he's pretty good.

Hollyoaks were so depserate to cling onto the greatness of the Silas storyline so they turned Will into Silas 2, but obviously not even half as decent as the master himself!

James Atherton is an absolutely shocking actor and incapable of carrying such a huge storyline which has made it all the more ridiculous! To say the story has dragged is a massive understatement!

Sooner he leaves the show the better I cannot stand him but some characters/actors are not to everyone's taste.

I think the time has come for the show's sensationalism to end and they should also place it elsewhere in the schedules imo.

they could of just left his character the way he was or just had his jealousy of dodger without being turned into a killer at least.

I've always thought of it as character development rather than a personality transplant.

Jealousy is an ugly monster, that clearly ate away at Will and his games escalated in to madness.

He was always a bit creepy, staring at Theresa from outside her house and drawing paintings of her (more jealousy there when he thought Dodger might get in there first) and of course there was his strange fixation with serial killers and the weird acceptance of what Silas done. He even went to extreme lengths - breaking in to Lynsey's house - to get what Silas wanted.
