Hello, all. I started writing this project earlier this year on another forum but changes to my personal life prevented me from continuing with it. Basically, Looking Forward is a fictional soap which centres around the lives of the residents of Jubilee Street, in the fictional London borough of Harrow.
HARROW
Harrow is a fictional borough of London- and the residents who live in the area are usually middle and upper class as the houses are in high demand due to their Victorian history. However, the prices have dropped on the houses in recent years- so waves of all different classes have moved into the area.
JUBILEE STREET
Jubilee Street was erected in 1897 as part of Queen Victoria’s Jubilee celebrations. In honour of Queen Victoria’s late husband Albert, the nearby public house was named The Prince Consort (although nowadays the residents refer to it as just ‘The Prince’!). The street originally consisted of twelve Victorian terraces- although since then an area of land at the top of the street has had three fully detached houses built onto it.
LOCAL BUSINESSES:
The Prince Consort – the local public house
Vision X – a hair and beauty salon
The Hangout – a place for teenagers and young adults to hang out
Betright – a bookmakers
Henson and Son – a newsagents
Harrow Central – a shopping complex
